Announcement: Loungerat will be going offline
Hi folks, as you may have heard, many federated services are being targeted by trolls spamming incredibly illegal and incredibly harmful content. In response, loungerat will be taken offline within 24hrs.
This is a hobby for me, and I don't have the time or energy to actively patrol federation logs for illegal content so I'm making the decision to go offline. Possibly not permanently, but until moderation tools improve I refuse to risk getting caught up in unintentionally hosting illegal content.

With some helpful help from my friends here, we think that we've been able to figure out what our federation issue was. We're also on lemmy 0.18.1 now
Update post: lounge rat will be updating to 0.18.1-rc9 later today
rc9 looks like it's gonna bring some fixes to the federation issues that we've been seeing on 0.18.0
lemmy.world is my reference instance, and they've had good results with rc7
