  • Cultural and media affairs will be steered by Wolfram Weimer, a well-known journalist and publisher

(The guy used to be editor in chief of Welt, which belongs to the same infamous Axel Springer publishing house as Politico)

Just so everyone knows what kind of guy this is, I'll just go and translate a direct quote of his from 2018, that is found on his German Wikipedia article:

The term "climate denier" has been used by red-green (note: this refers to Social Democrats and the Green party) people for years to stigmatize people that dare to doubt the theory of man-made climate change in its claim to be absolute. Thee term "climate denier" is meant to kill open discussion because it is reminiscent of "Holocaust denier".

  • Yes, but

  • If the airport needs more baggage handlers on staff because there's heavy 2 person luggage or just more luggage, they indirectly do get the money, because that's how wages work.

Although I'm sure that the airline will pocket some of the fee, which is obviously not cool, but that's capitalism for you.

  • There's a semantic difference between "supporting mods" and "provide support for modded installations". The former is fairly common and is what steam workshop is about and is what you are talking about.

The latter is basically unheard of (for what I hope are obvious reasons).

The OP is a bit ambiguous about which of the two or is.

  • This is a good place to remind people to check if you can register as a donor in general.

In Germany, DKMS will send you a DIY swabbing kit for free, so it really just takes 10 minutes to register: https://www.dkms.de/registrieren

I'm sure other countries have similar systems in place, because fuck cancer.

  • To be fair, this is most likely because the pope is not well at all. It wasn't even clear if he would be able to give the traditional easter blessing himself, which is significantly higher in the Vatican's priority list than a meeting with the US second in line of succession.

  • +1 for Home Assistant

I have it running on a Pi 5 (although a Pi 4 is more then enough), with a 15€ USB ZigBee antenna from AliExpress (to connect IKEA devices).

The best thing about it is that it seamlessly integrates all devices with each other, so you can use cheap ZigBee buttons to control your Philipps Hue lightbulbs, for example.

  • Based on what?

An AI generated anime profile pic? Commissioned from a regular artist would be better, but people can use whatever images they like. That's not nearly enough of a case to warrant banning anyone. And neither is your baseless accusation of them watching hentai. If you're going to spam the ban request across many instances and communities, you need to actually present a case.

  • Always online cars are mandated by EU regulations, and for a very good reason: automated emergency calls including GPS coordinates in case of crashes.

Other nice benefits include regular map updates.

That said, there is a lot of garbage being attached to the online functionality nowadays. And the way data is collected and handled in the background it at least partially atrocious, so let's attack that instead of the proverbial baby in the bathwater.
