First a few of you girlies can buy the rights to implement my Plan™ by giving me a fixed percentage of your total income in perpetuity. Then you can offer the same opportunity to a few of your own girlies, which will give you financial freedom as you (and your payments to me) are supported by the girlies who you sold my Plan™ to. Then they will also have this amazing opportunity for financial freedom by selling my Plan™ to some of their girlies. You might notice a triangle structure emerging, which is well known to be the strongest shape. There are several levels, and thus I dub it my Several Levels Under the Triangle lifestyle.

I wanted to love La-Mulana a lot. And I do love it for building some of the foundation that some huge greats like Fez and Tunic and Outer Wilds stand upon. But holy shit, the game doesn't want you to love it. The combat and movement are so punishing in an entirely unfun way. I stopped playing after getting what I understand to be like 70-80% of the way through the content the game has to offer and by the last ~20% of that I was dreading playing.
It is a game I have to thank for making way for the existence of some of my favourite games, but I hate it nonetheless.
I've been digging fucking deep with disco elysium this long weekend, started fresh after having dipped my toes in a tiny bit some years ago. 20 hours logged this weekend with more to come today.
The writing, worldbuilding, and atmosphere are actually just obnoxiously good.
I think it would be more correct to phrase it as the rate of change of speed, not the change of rate of speed, as observed in your second line. Nobody would say "change of rate of distance" unless they were a lunatic and I don't see a reason to make a special exception for the word speed.
To dig deeper, the language we use has pretty tight ties to maths in this case, we can consider the word change as meaning delta(assuming we are in a discrete context), and rate as meaning "the ratio of the following quantity with time". (Side note, this is very arbitrary - you need to define the context of the time measurement you're talking about)
"Rate of speed" would be the ratio of speed:time, which is just the... Average acceleration over the entire measured period, I guess? and so is unsuitable in the OP (unless they mean to say that the driver accelerated a high amount in this period, as opposed to just driving at a high speed)
Change of rate of speed would be delta speed:time, which would be how the above quantity changed between two measurements, I guess. Average acceleration before vs average acceleration after some arbitrary point?
Rate of change of speed is then the ratio of delta speed:time, which would be a measure of the average change of speed over some period.
The above 3 are dimensionally identical (all being metres per second squared) but I'd argue their phrasing implies the 3 distinct contexts described above. And none of them are appropriate for describing the speed of a vehicle.
When I wasn't a vegan I fucking loved devilled eggs. As long as the yolk is flavoured and seasoned well, its delicious. Its also the only time nobody will judge you for eating 3-6 whole eggs in a single sitting

I'm trying my best to dive back into the past and play all the gems that I missed as a kid because I was either born too late or too much of a kid to consider playing them. I found myself really disappointed going back to the old mario nes/snes titles because they felt really bad to play as I've become accustomed to modern platformer design sensibilities (like coyote time and responsive movement).
Are there any oldies+goldies that have stood up to the test of time and not shown their age in the same way? Or are so good that they're worth playing despite showing their age? Preferably avoiding racing, sports, and final fantasy-esque titles. Not really interested in anything more recent than PS2 era either.
I already have Earthbound in my sights as it isn't one I've played before but it comes highly recommended.
I'm very, very new to nix and nixOS both - I come from imperative workflows and very very rarely anything determinative, so this is all brand new to me.
On a "normal" system, I can get pip and python ready, and then make install and I'm off to the races.
With NixOS, I've got as far as adding python3 and gnumake to my configuration.nix packages. (I have also discovered that putting python in my system packages was the wrong move, so some advice on how better to go about this would be cool too.)
I can't for the life of me wrap my head around what I'm supposed to do, and so many people online are using flakes but I'm on stable 23.11 (and quite daunted by flakes) so I'd prefer if this was from that POV.
Can anyone speak to any of these points? I've tried reading the docs but it's very confusing for some reason.
Has something happened? I made 3 posts and a few comments late yesterday and they're all gone today (but still appear on the federated instances I posted them to)
So, I live in the UK and I'm on some probably endless waiting list to start talking to people about things, but I am also financially privileged and if I can use that to expedite my process in some way, that would improve my quality of life tenfold.
My cry for help, is, what can I do privately? How do I do it safely? Are there any "official" private sources for anything?
I am interested in UK centric advice for (but not limited to):
voice feminisation
HRT in an environment where I can regularly have someone with degrees in this shit tell me that my body is doing the right things
related to the above, fertility support (in the scenario I want to have kids biologically)
diagnosis of gender dysphoria
any other "superficial" feminzation
I don't want to sexually transition, I'm keeping the tool
I've noticed in my time using Beehaw, that navigation has been a bit funky
Example:
I scroll through my feed and find a post I want to check out, on page 3 or something.
I click the post and check it out, and want to go back to my feed
I "go back" (on mobile with the back gesture) one time
I have now returned to page 2, instead of page 3, of my feed
Am I missing something obvious? Is there a "close" button on opened posts that I should be using instead? Having to go back and then scroll down and go to the next page to get to my "actual" page is quite tedious
