You live in a bubble. As a teacher, a lot of young students have already been indoctrinated into religion by the age of 12, most of them will never escape.
Is that pixel art? It looks like early 3d graphics.
I only remember the 3090 frying itself when playing New World, but, allegedly, that was only some units with faulty soldering.
It's crazy that "lobbying budget" and "buying lobbyists" is a thing said in the openness and not illegal. Thanks for sharing this report, it's a great (disgusting) read.
It's a huge part of the business model. Social Media is valuable for its data on people, and for its ability to manipulate and influence people.
Biased, but absolutely right.
Being the devil's advocate, I can somewhat think of these potential benefits:
- More energy efficient
- Faster memory speed with soldered memory (which this one in particular doesn't use)
- Allows for increased performance and cooling of those chips
- Better integrated graphics
And maybe... hopefully... cheaper?
Yeah, it should have been a dlc, or, more likely, an expansion included with the switch 2 version. The original Switch was just not powerful enough for it. BotW is the gold standard for open worlds, and probably the most deserved GotY award ever given.
The world of ER feels lacking in comparison. To me, their biggest mistake was still trying to follow the old formula of "dead world". It works fine when you're limited to seeing only the important parts of the world. It stops working when you're selling the idea that his huge land is all entirely dead, with the exception of some very few people.
The best open world is still Zelda BotW/TotK, and sadly, ER is not even close.
It's already out, just a UE5 remaster. They were bored of reselling Skyrim for the upteenth time, decided to change pace a bit and resell Oblivion.

For good chinese Manhua, take a look at Ancient Sovereign of Eternity (aka Ultimate of All Ages), possibly the best ever Xianxia/Cultivation story in comic format. Magic (or Demon) Emperor is also great. And Martial Peak is good for the first 2000 or so chapters. Chinese comedy stuff tends to be fairly good as well, like Top Tier Providence.
Also, Solo Leveling is typical op MC done as cliched as possible, just the art style that's quite good, although a bit overdone these days. Everybody is trying to copy Redice's art right now. Koreans have crafted some amazing wuxia manhwas though: Gosu, Legend of the Northern Blade, and Red Storm are examples of amazing completed works in the martial arts murim genre.
It's a great idea, sadly the EQ gameplay does not interest me at all, but I'm all in for the idea of fake players in a single player/small coop only "FMMORPG". I'd love it if people tried to do this with every multiplayer game before sunsetting them.

Billionaires are a systematic risk*.
1230 USD in about 10 years of service. I'd be interested to know my total playtime on steam now to see how much per hour I am paying.
It's wild indeed. The worst part about this comparison is that people say it'll fail because of the competition, but there's literally 0 competition in the genre from big studios. The only three somewhat successful games are Delta Force, Hunt Showdown and Escape from Tarkov, two of those are premium games, one where people are willing to pay 250$ for it. It's even a genre where people mostly want it to be paid to reduce cheating.
I'm super excited for this game. The demo they had on a previous steam next fest was phenomenal, great writing and voice acting.
Earth days... In a planet where the rotation is not the same as on Earth.
Felt well written as well, I loved talking to the other guy. I'm chill though, but it's definitely a game I intend to buy and play as soon as it's out.
Same! I've been parroting this same discourse ever since the first season aired. It's not even good science fiction, it's just all exaggerated to invoke fear, it bears no resemblance to a real world and future, and it doesn't reflect on it. It's a glorified dystopian tv mindless drama. It doesn't make you question and think about things, it just always defaults to: "this bad, really bad".
It reads like a great idea, i just don't like the drawing part a lot (but that's my personal problem against the way we usually make rpg maps in a way that's too modern). But I'm likely to steal this idea for my own future games! I'm a huge fan of the idea that what matters most is the game played at the table and less about what happened before, so this idea makes a perfect match.
