  • Yea, who would have thought, that a N*-salute and unjust culling of social welfare and security systems could damage a brand..

It is a little sad, that only VW sales are reported to go up. I am a big fan of smaller affordable SEVs like Renault's Zoe, the new R5 and Opel's Corsa Electric, but I guess they are simply not in the same league.

  • My gut feeling (and reading about current weapon sales) says the 2024 numbers are way lower. We had so many domestic contracts for Rheinmetall, BAE, SAAB, Thales, ... and the smaller companies.

  • I'm also trying to use Here WeGo for turn by turn navigation.

I tested all the other contenders (OSM And, Organic Maps, Magic Earth) and some seem to be best for outdoor activities (hiking, biking, OSM And), others do good for commuting (Here WeGo).

The other problem you mentioned is, that sadly few apps have this "search engine and rating" topic covered. As far as I know Apple Maps uses Yelp as backend and Google Maps it's own solution. AFAIK the others do simply not support community based annotations. Only addition or moderation on the groundlaying openstreetmap data.

If I need to search for a location and it's opening times, I have no good substitute, yet.

  • My lemmy interaction was quite limited up until today.

Some time ago, when the first reddit migration happend, I took over a stale community. It faded and there was nothing to moderate, write or comment. Also most communities I'm subscribed to, do not produced so much relevant content. I fell back to reddit.

  • Just edited my post.

feddit.org is a nice community. Never had so much interaction on other servers. Basically I had a great first day at school.

  • Ehm. I’m not. I asked where the majority lays, spoke with feddit.org admins and opened a local account just in case that I need to step up.

But thanks for the misinterpretation and spreading false infos.

Edit: shame, shame, shame.. I misunderstood @[email protected] like the monkey I am.

    BuyFromEU

    Moin, moin,

  • Same.

Already reached out to them anf told them not being ready and aware of #buyFromEU could be a missed chance.

  • Dated March 2023 this article is not so explicit about Typhoon being capable 😬 So they bought the F-35 (but remanufactured the electroings much like Israel).

  • Thanks for explaining. I was under the impression they can carry US made warheads, but this makes much more sense.

  • Might be the reason, but doesn't change the situation. I heared the RAF Typhoons are years ahead and also able to carry nuclear bombs.

Anyhow flooding the zone with Mirrages, Rafaels, Gripen and Eurofighters would be nice 😊

  • Kay. Coming from Germany it is about the nukes of our .. ehm.. "friends". We still use the Tornado from 1974 because of incompabilities of our Eurofighters.

  • Aren't they all 4/4.5th generation and not capable of carrying nukes? I mean they are a great stopgap and I would prefer having plenty of them, but the F35 abilities are much needed on a tactical and strategic level.

Too bad, it's off the table with this liability.

  • You can point your domain on any hoster like mailbox.org. There are a lot of benefits at not hosting your own mailserver.

One of your mates at reddit, collected some goods and services and then made this interactive website, where you can suggest, categorize new products/services and vote for given products/services.

  • Yea, buyFromEU is already getting traction. More intense on reddit and a little bit on https://feddit.org/c/buyFromEU

  • Also this is Saxony, a far right castle. There are 15 other states. A little hasty to use this as interpolation for whole country.

But sad truth to be told, the AfD engages younger folks on social media quite effectively.

  • Well, in some European countries you could load your car while at work or grocery shopping.

Depending in your commute this could just be enough.

Anyhow: the prices and (country-specific) loading network might be show stopper. Many other things are just habit and/or subjective convenience.

Now that http://wearecocoon.co.uk/ is officially out of business (subpages are still working) did anybody try to get a refund in the App Store?

    Edit

I just opened a fraud case with Apple support: http://reportaproblem.apple.com/

    Expectation management

    Hey Steve,

its been a while since your last occurrence, when you and your buddy re-assured your commitment and explained some time of absence: fine with the most of us. But since then: silence.

Some of your early customers already moved on and wrote off their invest.

Could you please step the game up a little and start managing your community and maybe our expectations? For example you could share a rough roadmap, just so we know, that you are still on it and your community issues were heard? Or take half an hour once a week, biweekly or monthly to communicate your progress and what you are up to?

Best wishes a early stage customer that already resorts to other clients

  • Yea, you are describing leasing, which is a totally different thing.

If you would try these shenanigans in a regular contract, your company would be a) sued to the ground b) don't sell one car...

    Gas mask (for smoke)

    https://lemmy.world/post/2313051

With all these fires going around and the potential of house fires a quick question about gas masks.

Is the RD40 40mm thread EN-148-1 the same as the STANAG 4155 Nato thread?

Would a draeger rd 40 filter fit a MP5 Gas mask ? Or a military nbc filter fit a draeger x-plore-6300?

Edit: Just want to know if the civilian and mil spec threading is identical.

Memmy - An iOS client for Lemmy @lemmy.ml

    macOS build

Hi my super productive overlords (no joke, u all got my utmost respect),

thanks for the latest updates of memmy. The new sidebar sits well with memmy, and you can see, that the UI gets more polished.

I had the iOS version installed on my mac from the getgo.. I was just curious what catalyst does to the App. The recent updates made it even more useable — by accident I suppose.

Do you have the long-term goal of making a apple multiplatform App targeting iOS/iPadOS/macOS ?

Also the App did not update via AppStore. Had to uninstall and reinstall it?

I mean otherwise there are upcoming options like leomard I could settle with, but I really love the way memmy looks, feels and behaves.

    Best wishes

Edit community info button and leave mod team pretty close

Hi, I did not fall for it, yet, but the "edit" (community info button) and the links "leave mod team" are pretty close to each other.
