  • I was fine with the rape and the fraud and the endless lies and the misogyny and the racism and the homophobia and the transphobia and the corruption and the police brutality and the caged babies and the disappearing of citizens and the terrorism and the attempted coup and the autocracy and the ending the rule of law and the threats to invade neighboring countries and the building-a-golf-resort-on-top-of-a-genocide, but now he's giving Wall Street the jitters, so I'm not so sure about this guy any more.

  • The Democrat party needs to end. We can't fight fascist activism by being nice to them. We also can't fight fascist billionaires with "nice guy" billionaires who ultimately benefit just as much, but just don't approve publicly of the methods.

The Democrat party needs to end.

  • There is a post-disaster price-gouging law in California preventing just this from happening. Rent is included.

    https://www.kqed.org/news/12021308/wildfire-los-angeles-price-gouging-palisades-eaton-hurst-lidia-sunset-fires

"Violations of the price gouging statute are subject to criminal prosecution that can result in one-year imprisonment in county jail and/or a fine of up to $10,000. Violations are also subject to civil enforcement actions including civil penalties of up to $2,500 per violation, injunctive relief and mandatory restitution.

The Attorney General, local district attorneys, and private individuals can bring actions for violations of the statute."

  • That’s not correct, an import tariff is a tax charged by the government receiving the imported goods, which then enriches the receiving country.

Export tariffs are similar but charged by the company exporting the goods, that is not what’s at issue here. Although that’ll probably happen in retaliation.

  • ACAB but some individuals can be cool enough. Just know they could turn on you easier than others.

My landlord is a cop, but he’s also a decent guy. To me. I try to bring up liberal talking points on the sly to at least expose him to alternate opinions. He’s not against them, so that’s good.

It’s hard. I kinda have to have a mental block up against the individual’s career choice, because he’s not one of the 100% asshole / racist / fully bastard cops. I know / knew some of them too, and I won’t give them the time of day once the convo showed their true colors (which, happens within an hour or less usually).

I guess they’re comfortable showing their true colors to me over a beer because we …look the same. Gross.

But, know that if it hasn’t already happened, there’s probably some humanity left in them.

  • Artificially raise prices with tariffs for three years: “Look what impossible problems the democrats left us with!”

Take all those tariffs away in election year 2028 “We saved you! Only us! You’d better keep us in charge”

Who am I kidding, we won’t have any more elections.
