No screen protector, no case, just raw dogging it and it feels so good. Of course, it depends how you treat it. If you handle your phone like a very expensive piece of fine equipment, then it's probably okay. If you treat it like a toy, constantly dropping it, handing it to kids, leaving it laying down wherever... You need to cover that shit up.
Upset about notepad, so downloaded a bunch of random software that has nothing to do with editing text files?

Our family used to have a Zenith tv.
Well crap, I was using windsurf (codeium).
It then gave these migrants “notices,” in English only, declaring that they would be deported immediately, without stating that they could contest their deportations in court.
Suddenly the executive order that English is the official language of the United States became a lot more clear in it's purpose.
The original joycons and pro controller will work for the most part, with some limitations. Like the original joycons won't wake the switch 2 from sleep, and obviously they won't support any new functionality like the mouse mode.
But if they specifically call out Tesla, they get more clickbait engagement, plus it now qualifies as a tech story! Double win!
It's been a long time since I saw it, but I remember the Simpsons movie had a part about the NSA listening in on phone calls.
I like swarmui. It's an easy to use interface for generation, but it's built on top of comfyui. The easy interface can handle most common scenarios, but if you need a really complex workflow, you just click over to another tab and you have direct access to the actual comfyui, to build up whatever workflow you want.

Come to think of it, I don't know if I really FEEL empathy. Like, maybe I do, but it's hard to say. In my mind, it simply comes down to this: if something shitty happens to me, I know what it feels like. Likewise, I know that other people would feel the exact same way. So if something shitty happens to another human being, it's not necessarily that I FEEL something for them, so much that I can imagine how I would feel in that same situation.
Yeah, I remember being really interested in DVORAK when I was younger. But when it comes down to it, my typing speed is not really something that is holding back my productivity, so there is little benefit to be gained from switching.
Yes, I have about a 75% chance to get a cough each autumn, which typically lasts around 3-4 months. The worst is when people who you are around constantly, like family, start expressing their annoyance. Sorry, it's not like I can just stop! And everyone says "just take some cough syrup". No, the cough syrup doesn't do shit!
Look for the source where it came from.
I had no idea that the US government was funding these things
I highly doubt you would have to pay anything if you cancel your service. I've never heard of anything like that around here, but rules can vary from place to place. You could find out with a call to the gas company though.
Most search engines allow you to specify that other nearby airports are ok. For example, kayak has a toggle that can be enabled to include nearby airports.
But if all else fails, just take note of a few of the airports and search for them directly.
I don't really feel like going down the rabbit hole of trying a hundred different distros to maybe find one that works. My experiences with those two were that things were completely broken, randomly. Like just trying to boot the USB installer would lock up half the time, the installer itself would fail partway through most of the time, when things got fully installed, trying to update or install new things would just fail randomly. The kde desktop would crash just from me changing settings in the kde menus.
They are ranked number 3 and 13 on distro watch, so they are hardly unknown. And lots on Linux YouTubers were talking about how great they were.
My priorities are being able to run Davinci resolve and Steam games. Nobara ticks those boxes while advertising itself as user friendly. I have heard too many stories of people having trouble getting this stuff running on something like Linux mint, so I didn't go in that direction. I need to do more with my computer than just view web sites or write code.
A couple weeks ago I attempted to switch over to Linux. Tried installing both Cachyos and Nobara. It was kind of a shit show, nothing worked correctly, stuff was erroring out and crashing left and right, and after a couple days I gave up.
Today I went ahead and installed windows 11. There were some issues... It wouldn't recognize my CD key, and I accidentally wiped a partition from the wrong drive. But as for the os itself, I spent a few hours getting things set up, and it's not as horrible as I thought it would be. I was able to simply turn off most of the shit like copilot and recall, and all the advertisements, and I pretty much have it working as I want it to.
What's the best way to learn Linux?
I've been using Windows since the days of 3.1, practically my entire life. So I'm really comfortable with how windows operates and how to do the things that I want to do.
I've dabbled around with Linux over the years, but am now considering trying to make a full switch to it.
What are some resources to "learn" Linux properly? Such as understanding the filesystem, basic security practices, essential tools or commands, etc?
My monitor has a headphone jack in the back. Can I use it only sometimes without having to plug/unplug it?
I would occasionally like to use (wired) headphones, but 90% of the time I am fine with just hearing the audio that comes out of the crappy monitor speakers. If I plug the 3.5mm cable into the monitor's headphone jack (even without headphones attached), then no audio will come out of the speaker anymore.
It is really cumbersome to plug and unplug the cable from the monitor, because I have to pull my desk away from the wall and bend upside down to even be able to see the port where I am supposed to plug it in.
Is there some simple solution to this problem, or am I just stuck using one or the other? I have a small desk and don't really have room for external speakers.

(USA) Do supplemental cancer/critical illness policies make sense?
Me and my wife are in our 40s, and currently in good health. I get insurance through work, but it's a high deductible plan. I have enough in my health savings account to cover the out of pocket maximum for a few years.
Cancer does run in my family, so I was considering a cancer policy. My grandmother has one with Aflac, and she received a good payout when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. I have seen that she also only has to pay a few hundred dollars per year for her policy, which seems pretty reasonable.
However, I never really hear these policies discussed much online. Can it make financial sense to purchase? (And I guess I would keep paying it for the rest of my life) Or are these something that should be stayed away from?
Not seeing all comments
When using Connect, I don't see all of the comments. I was just looking at a post where the counter showed over 40 comments, but I counted them and only saw about 16. Then I opened up the same post in my web browser and I was able to see all of the comments there.

Which interface are you primarily using for Stable diffusion?
I was using stable diffusion a lot previously, but haven't really touched it in the past several months. I was wondering what interfaces people are using these days?
Automatic1111 still seems to be popular, and that's the one I am most familiar with. I know there are some others now though, like comfy, and I guess maybe invokeAI is still going?
