  • Me when I see literally anything about the People's Republic of China:

  • This has got to be the worst tagline I've seen in 2 years of looking at this site. I didn't think it was possible, well done!

  • The Sundial Protocol

    Paradox of Paradise

The Spark That Set The World On Fire

    Shattered Crown

    Severed Chains

    The Final War

    Eradicating Malady

    Ending Famine

    Curing Death

  • I read some of the new Epstein files, specifically the journal of a victim.

The USA is Satan's embassy on this planet and a nuke for every square kilometer is not enough.

  • It's nice to be wrong.

  • I just remembered that one alleged IDF insider on polymarket with 100% win rate had that bet about Iran being bombed before the end of January.

Today is the 31st, last day of the bet, a Saturday (stock market is closed), all air assets are in place and even more Epstein files were released. Sadly I think the attack is pretty much guaranteed to start today.

  • What about those with full rows of shark teeth? Does the hate compound exponentially?

  • I have the idea to add music from my personal library to my art timelapses from now on, I think it would be a fun way to express myself. (60% of the library is socialist songs from a dozen languages)

I think it would also be cool for whatever future people are paying attention to the timelapse videos to try to predict what track will be next and be intrigued enough to watch another, then another, then another. Maybe that will be what turns some people towards socialism, I want for someone out there to go ”Damn, those reds have good artists as well as good music? Maybe there is more to them than I thought...”.

I want to keep improving and learning how to paint and sketch until there are people out there who think exactly that.

  • Is there one person on this planet who genuinely likes Ursula von der Leyen?

  • I felt so called out by this tweet I immediately opened 15 duckduckgo tabs and started building a whole new section of my reference image collection.

Check them out by the way, all are amazing artists. Zhang Dazhong in particular specialized in paintings of red guard women.

  • Every comment from a person here on my artwork is worth 1000 xitter likes to me, I thank everyone who engages with my art.

  • I will say that recording timelapses does help, it shows that drawing is a long process of quantitative changes layered until a complete illustration takes shape. It builds motivation for making future paintings.

It also helps to observe when and how you can change your technique, choices made early on that could have changed the whole end result.

As for my approach to linework, I will add that I sometimes skip it all together in favor of starting with blocking shapes, but that usually goes poorly if I don't already have a strong mental image of what I want to depict.

  • Thank you. I will keep painting more interesting things.

  • I would like to make a confession and say right now that I have not played Disco Elysium. This is pretty much how I paint normally.

One of the inspirations I had when I was building the foundations of my painting knowledge was J.C. Leyendecker where I really wanted to create things with defined brushstrokes, clear silhouettes and vivid colors. The resemblance to the art of Disco Elysium is a case of convergent evolution where those ideas have manifested into something similar.

I will say that the art of Disco Elysium is absolutely fantastic now that I recently discovered it, I will study it in more detail in the future and maybe lean into it's visual language purposefully.

  • Thank you, I just posted the finished image, go look at it if you wish.

  • Nevermind, the timelapse is too large for this site to handle.

Here is the original reference instead.
