  • Yes give it a try.

I'm not saying that boost lacks anything. But it's the feel that I get when using Voyager. I know it's weird, but, it's my enjoyment that made me switch.

  • I've used boost for forever in reddit, I used it when it came to lemmy.

    But voyager is better.

  • I was looking for the stains.

  • Any change should be done gradually i think. If the elder person notices that what shes watching is suddenly not the shows she subscribed to. Then she will clam up and refuse to watch the new shows unt OP bring back her "account".

  • ditto for that. only in there to see friends and i havent posted for years.

I'm using a third party instagram app though. so, UP YOURS ZUCK THE ANDROID!

  • ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ take my energy ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ

  • One good thing for connect for lemmy is that they have a new feature to block an instance.

literally a whole instance. That's crazy.

  • Ive seen a post in programming dev instance that those posts we were seeign, shilling for reddit was proven to be astroturfed using LLM to generate the pro reddit reply

  • I use cloudhiker and webtoll. It's fairly decent. Though occasionally I get time capsule sites, like personal blogs from the 2000s in geocities. Yes, try it and see with your own eyes.

  • Sorry for the late reply. I was jumping from instance to instance.

Thi is now my app ranking

    1. Connect for Lemmy
    2. Jerboa
    3. Liftoff for Lemmy
    4. Firefox browser (mobile eeb display for lemmy is underrated)
    5. Wefwef (it has no block instance and user option, yet)
  • When you're reading the post title, then suddenly new posts come in and bump the current post. And now you're lost.

Also if you click a post and after you go back to the feed. The browser doesn't remember your position. And now you're lost again.

  • That's what started me too. Then it snowballed as i tried every other app available to install. And now i cannot go back.

  • You can do dat with liftoff for lemmy. They have and everything "All" Section where all of your logged in instance in the app is combined into one feed.

  • That's the thing. If someone defederates with you, and you wand a community on that instance. Then you are free to make the lost community in your instance. And if re-federation happens, both community can co exist without problems.

Also you can make an account on the instance that defederated. So you still can view the community you want.

  • Besides the unsettling idea that we are like a message board in public display. It's good to know that our data are somewhat immune to being monetized. .

  • That's not meant for humans. They forgot to encrypt their secret message. Someone's going to be devoured tonight.

  • What are the chances that the instance owners join together and buid a cartel or corporation. Then sells our data.

  • Yeah, im on boost on reddit. And curiously it's july 2 and it's still working. Did mayayo ever sya that he will pay pay for the api costs?
