  • Non recyclable (black) Recyclables (green) Paper and cardboard (purple) Garden (brown)

We’ve got two garden bins cos we’re posh as fuck and the groundskeeper needs two (not really, it’s just permanently out of control - I got a tree trunk in one the other day, was well impressed with that)

  • I’ve got a 12 and sticking with it for now. The X won’t get the new iOS which I think means 6 years of firmware support. I can see this one lasting 5-6 years. Definitely a good thing - can remember avoiding iOS upgrades when they would slow down older phones beyond being usable.

  • I think it’s the ad overlay, when I click the search button an ad opens in another tab and I have to go back to re click the button. Sometimes 2-3 times before I’m allowed to click.

It’s annoying but 3 clicks for a movie is obviously cheap.

  • Yeah they’re 18% ahead in the polls. It would be foolish to make any promises at this point - he doesn’t need to and only risks giving the cons attack headlines and losing votes. Until they have to produce a manifesto and while the tories continue to self destruct, these are the sorts of statements / interviews you’re going to get.

  • Sorry if this is affecting you personally. When we bought our house two years ago, my wife convinced me to get a five your fix for stability, when I wanted to go for a two year for the flexibility around renovations. The house is only half finished and we’ve got no more access to funds for the reno but very glad we made that choice.

Only worry is that we’ll still be in a similar shitshow in 3 more years…

Best way to roam (mobile phone) on holiday?

Hi, we haven't been abroad on a family holiday since pre-brexit. We've also now got two teenagers who are glued to their phones. While I'm sure we'll discourage them a bit, they'll still use their phones. With all the new charges for roaming, is there a good way to roam while away - or do people go for PAYG sims from the local country?

We're going to Madeira in this case, but would be interested to hear if there's any general advice.
