LOOKING FOR POTENTIAL MODERATORS

Alright, you should be all set (hopefully) (please)
LOOKING FOR POTENTIAL MODERATORS

Pope Francis, The leader of the Catholic Church, has passed away aged 88
Many people may have different opinions when it comes to the Roman Catholic Church, but most agree that the Pope was a good man.
A man who had a more modernist and progressive approach to many things, spoke many times against the crimes Israel was committing against the Palesnians, visited many muslim leaders and wanted to bring equality among different people, communities and religions in all parts of the world.
May Allah (SWT) grant great Men and Women like him a place in Jannah.

Pope Francis has died, Vatican says in video statement.

Sean is the owner.
The CEO is Hugh Thomas

What "really old" game would you like Sean to revisit/re-play?
I would love for him to revisit Stranded Deep and The Sims🤷🏾♀️
I loved those series back then 😆

How’s Caseoh still finding content in schedule 1? 😭
I haven’t been watching the schedule 1 streams bc I’m just burnt out on the game and don’t care to watch.
I started getting bored around the 15 hour mark and ended up dropping it around the 20 hour mark.
I feel like case has to have way more than that by now since I’ve seen him on the game almost every night since the game came out lmao.
Ik he’s got the warehouse now, so surely he’s almost ready to give the game a break?

The first thing that comes up when you look up "kitttyyyyyy" on Google 😂😊

" How long have we been on this rock? five weeks? four days? Help me to recollect. "

Who are the best progressive Christian authors?
Thank you in advance.

Any gay people who were baptized?
I keep seeing and reading things like the Bible, and keep seeing people get saved by baptism.
To be saved by the Holy Spirit, but are they any were baptized and still gay?
I’m a little scared of it, tbh.

Where to start as a skeptic who is randomly feeling drawn to God/Christianity?
My whole life i’ve been an absolute atheist, with some pagan beliefs along the way for a bit as well.
My grandma is a jehovah’s witness and overall i’ve found a lot of issues with christianity as a whole.
I never thought id ever even consider asking this, but how can i start educating myself on christianity? it feels like out of no where i started having dreams about god, having the desire to pray, and just a sudden interest about it in general.
i just feel kind of stuck, the idea of heaven and hell troubles me, the idea of sin, etc. is it possible to view these things as strictly symbolical?
I am so so uneducated on christianity and the bible, I don’t even know how to start reading the bible or where to get the “right” one.
sorry if any of this sounds totally ignorant! i’ve been trying to do research on my own, but I'd love to hear some of your thoughts on this.
Thank you!

Feature Request: Add Community-Specific Search Functionality
I’d like to request the addition of a community-specific search feature in Summit for Lemmy.
This feature would allow users to search within individual Lemmy communities for posts, topics, or comments.
For example, users could go to a specific community, tap on a search bar or icon, and then quickly find relevant content in that community.
This type of functionality is already supported in other Lemmy apps, such as Sync for Lemmy, Connect for Lemmy, Voyager for Lemmy, and Thunder for Lemmy.
It’s a super useful feature for navigating large, active communities and finding exactly what you need without having to scroll endlessly.
It would be great to see Summit implement this feature as well, as it would significantly enhance the app's usability and improve the overall experience for users.
Is this something the team might consider adding in future updates?
Thank you for your attention, and I hope this feature can be added!

Progressive Scholars / Speakers?
Looking for progressive scholars etc that I can listen to. Are there any YouTube channels of that nature?

Why is it that a woman’s fast can become invalid due to menstruation?
It just doesn’t make sense why a woman’s fast can become invalid when they start menstruating, even just ten minutes before the sun sets. If ritual impurity was the point, how come someone in a state of Janabah can still fast, even if they were to abstain from doing ghusl for a week?

Is Hijab even Mandatory?
Honestly this is so confusing, I feel like the more I read about islam the more I realize how most restrictions are set by the cultural aspect.
My question is coming from a previous post I saw about how nowhere in the Quran does it say that we have to wear a hijab to pray, which??? That’s insane?? How is this not more broadly known.
I see so much misinformation and people giving up hope on the religion bcz of misogynistic claims it’s honestly exhausting.

Is killing/anger a sin when God does it?
Stupid question, I know. But is killing a sin when God does it? In the OT. What about anger? Like what he said in the sermon in the mount. But he got mad and made a whip and ran the money changers out of the temple.
You can tell when I’m actively praying and reading my Bible cause I end up coming on here with all my questions. Again I’m so sorry. I just don’t have anyone irl to ask.

That’s it!
Thank you so much.
Idk why that was so hard for me to find.

No, that's not it.

Just running both.
They're both subreddits that I am attempting to help bring over.
I'd be more than willing to transfer the ownership of the communities to their respective religious groups when there is enough users/mods.

What about Pliers?

I honestly have no idea.
I don't usually watch his videos, but I will occasionally watch, and I haven't seen/heard anything.

What?

Welcome to the team
Looking for Potential Mods

I think that, when a user taps on one of the Subreddits, Voyager displays them via most subscribed Community first, then second, then third, etc.

The way that it works is: when you enter the Multireddit link, it will show up like this:

And if you then tap on the link that you just added, you will get this:

And then, if you tap on one of them, depending on whether or not there is a Lemmy community alternative to the subreddit: you will either get this:

This:

Or this:

When I posted this in the Summit for Lemmy Community, aeharding, the Creator of Voyager, stated that it just used Lemmy search results, nothing fancy.
I would assume that you would be able to modify it easily, although you might need to add a link for each platform.

Lol, fair enough.

There could be a potential separate iOS Theme that users could choose, similar to how Voyager does it.
That way, users could decide whether they want Summit to have an iOS design, or an Android design.

Yes, as well as Sync

I've tried Thunder before, multiple times.
I've also tried Voyager, Boost, Connect, Jerboa, Eternity, Raccoon, etc.
I could never get comfortable with it.
It's a fine Lemmy App, just not for me

Ok, then at least the ability to remove the bottom taskbar, and have everything accessible via the Discord/Reddit-style Drawer taskbar, similar to how Sync lets you.
