  • That's a good outlook stranger and that's fair I didn't give you substance. I'll give you some now.

"*I’m saying from the perspective of American voters. And for them, yes, genocide in a faraway place is a small issue. If they’re even aware it’s happening at all.

But also, I don’t think the policy differences here are that impactful. I don’t see the US stopping the genocide without going to war, which I don’t see any appetite for from anyone."*

    1. Genocide is a small issue for American voters

There are lots of polls and ways to slice this but this tracks with what I see

[29% of voters nationally who voted for Biden in 2020 and cast a ballot for someone besides Kamala Harris in 2024 say “ending Israel’s violence in Gaza” was the top issue affecting their vote choice, with the economy a close second at 24%.](https://www.imeupolicyproject.org/postelection-polling)

Voter turn out went from 66.6% in 2020 to 63.9% in 2024. Well, this could be contributed to a lot of things. I think we'd be remiss not to consider that a large chunk of these were people who wouldn't vote for Kamala because of the genocide in Gaza.

Or what about the shower number of protests and protesters over the country? How many of these people changed their vote or didn't vote because the of the genocide? They obviously care? Source

  • I thought this was your Internet service provider. This is a VPN service? Holy shit what's the point of a VPN with rules like this. Fuck em. I use proton and am looking to switch because the CEO is a right-winger but they don't pull this shit.

  • Ah ok the article that OP posted is from the RFA (radio free asia)

I'm wondering why an anti communist propaganda arm of the USA is putting out anti billionaires sentiment.

Edit: Does that make more sense stranger?

  • I think there's a real plot to lower these stock prices so that these Rich assholes can do more stock buybacks and consolidate control.

I don't think these people are thinking in market terms anymore. Just pure power as they head towards techno feudalism.
