I liked it.
Wasn't without flaws, the pacing was a little weird. But it was a very well made, very pretty, action-y-horror film.

Hon hon hon, I make le Tommy Geun!

I mean... technically.
But come on the original was made in 1922.

This game will finally let me live out my dream of being a delivery truck driver in the rural Soviet Union

Sinners and Nosferatu both doing really well makes me happy.
Not just cuz I like vampires, but also they're both made by directors who clearly really love and appreciate the film-making craft and both made original and interesting films, that both just happen to be about vampires.
Plus people have been pretty doomer about mainstream movie tastes, what with people gobbling up slop like the Minecraft Movie, but it's nice that there's still plenty of people who will check out something interesting and new if it's pitched to them right.

He's actually a pretty adventurous eater

I don't think he's ever used chopsticks.
He did once eat a chunk of wasabi while getting sushi because he thought it was an avocado slice that fell out of his California Roll. Granted that was his first time getting sushi.

I think banana leaves are used more in the southern parts of Central America.

My boomer dad at a tamale with the banana leaf still on.
My sister recently married into a Central American family and my mother-in-law gave me a bunch of tamales, but I accidentally left them at my Dad's place. I got them today and he admitted he ate one but said the "outer layer was really stringy and tough".
Thing is I'm 90% sure I've had tamales with this man before.

Yeah but that value COMES from somewhere. You speculate on the prospect of people BUYING something at SOME POINT.

I offer you some blood pudding and jellied eels as a peace offering.

Yes it was that video. I'm frankly surprised anyone clocked the small connection to cum town. It's not one of the well known bits.

The one that remains tiny and marginalized because nothing they try ever works because the American people are just reactionary as fuck

Who's gonna buy your shit?

No that's citations needed

Idk, seems like the left has been trying shit in the US for decades and none of it ever sticks

I was gonna say, the mods have an anti-cum town posting rule, yet the mod team seems extremely astute as IDing very vague or even totally tangential references to cum town.
It's almost if there's a closet cum town fan within the mod team.

Oh come on, this one's a stretch

The video MENTIONS Cum Town but it's an otherwise informative video about a well known charity that's actually a front for a sketchy Orthodox Jewish community.

Oh jeez these assholes again.

That sounds like they're lacking basic education
These are literate people who grew up in a society with (albeit shitty for a developed country) public education and internet access. They're horses surrounded by oceans of drinkable water but refuse to take a single gulp.

And when they have sex and produce children they raise in these brainworms (and abuse as I guarantee this society becomes very pedophilic to say nothing of other forms of child abuse common to reactionaries) you're just okay with human life being brought into that? Do you organize raids that suffer regular casualties to retrieve the children they produce and acknowledge some will be successfully hidden anyways?
That proposal was made somewhat tongue in cheek, but I'm curious what you would propose then? Just mass execution?

He's evil but he talks cool

Affluenza seems less serious than whatever brainworms Facebook conservative groups give you.

I genuinely think American CHUDs are too stupid for reeducation
It doesn't matter how long you make them read Lenin and break rocks in the gulag, the second you let them out they'll see an AI generated meme from a CIA holdout posting from a bunker somewhere and immediately revert to being a burgerbrained fash.
I think we need to just dump them on an island somewhere and put them under continuous naval blockade and internet blackout till they revert to a Hunter gather society.

I'm gonna start telling people "calibrate your enthusiasm"

Say you support JDPON Don in his relentless war against the so called "workers" of Amerikkka

Damn the new season of Black Mirror really IS dystopian
If a creepy British lady forced me to remember my ex from when I lived in an artist loft, that would be the darkest shit ever.

Idea for a Black Mirror episode
What if there was an island where everyone spoke English, but like with a weird accent, and they also had a bunch of weird twee sayings that they liked to say to other English speakers and act surprised when they don't understand them?

The real discourse.

Damn, I'm not gonna lie, that scene in Andor where Dedra talks down Syril's mom...

As a guy with a narcissistic mother, yeah, something about the idea of having a badass GF who'd give her a talking to... oof.
I mean maybe problematic cuz she's a fascist, wish I could get a commie version of this.

Damn, The Deprogram has more reach than I thought

Do you think Marx would like the band Cannibal Corpse?
I just feel like he would enjoy death metal bands. I have no real proof as to why but I just get a vibe from his writings he's be into Cannibal Corpse.

I thought Sinners was pretty good
A little melodramatic and obvious but a fun little action romp. Some of the music numbers went in a little long for me.

Some architectural and city planning with relation to climate seems counterintuitive to me. Can someone explain?
I would assume living in more pleasant warm climates would incentive less dense planning since walking/travel between locations would be less unpleasant and also energy consumption for heating wouldn't be as in high demand. Meanwhile cities in colder climates would incentives dense planning that allowed for people to get what they needed without having to leave a building, or not having to walk far. Also housing more in less buildings could conserve heating energy.
Yet here is a picture of Rio Di Janeiro

And here is Nuuk Greenland

In fact looking at a lot of extreme north communities, it seems they prefer single family housing that's fairly spread out, this is the case in Scandinavia, Alaska, Greenland and Russi

Lol my moms having a Zoom meeting with her #ResistLib group and they're talking about "taking back" the Amerikkkan flag
Some were worried waving American flags would be "triggering to POCs", but then they agreed that they're gonna try and "take it back from Trump!"
Oh yeah she also introduced me to some 20-something in her group that seems to think she's in a YA novel. She's talking about forming an "underground" that has a goofy name like the "Sparrows" or something that uses its own special language she made up (its a simple word-key code any puzzle nerd could break). She has an alt-constitution written in a mole skin book that she showed me and I had to hold back my laughter at how badly it was written.
Sorry if this comes off as mean spirited but she just moved back in with me and this is her whole personality now. Normally id be like "well at least she's not a CHUD" but she's been really arrogant and self important about this like she fucking Vladimir Lenin over here when she's an upper middle class white lady who used to be a landlord.
