  • Republicans are the gas pedal and Dems are the brake pedal. Bernie was our option to reverse, but his opportunity is past. If we get to vote again, hopefully AOC steps up and the voters get it together

  • I haven't read the book. It just seems like wishful thinking that such limits on voting won't be turned around to oppress the population in general and minorities in particular.

I'm glad it worked out in the book, but can you think of any other government systems that worked out on paper, but failed their live run? I don't want to be part of that mistake, I'm busy enough being part of this American one right now.

  • That looks like a nice plot, thank you for sharing the picture. I always struggled on the best time to trim the old canes, do you prefer to do that in the fall after fruiting or spring?

  • If you want to make a change, you have to understand that you're going to fail a lot and that's ok. I don't really like to direct people to reddit, but mostly lurking there really helped me a few years ago before I even stopped drinking. https://www.reddit.com/r/stopdrinking/

I had a lot of times where I just wanted to not drink for one day for whatever reason. Then I stopped for a week here or there... then I tried it for a month to see if I could. Later, I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't drink on vacation so I'd be more present, and I kept going.

  • If you went to cash, perhaps you should move to treasuries instead to get 4-5% return in the meantime?

Otherwise, find mutual funds with exposure to euro markets to stay in the game. Time in the market will outperform timing the market. The market can remain irrational longer than you can afford to stuff cash under your mattress.
