I've hated this motherfucking huckster for decades just because he's an unscrupulous snake-oil salesman. The fact that he jumped on the Drumpf bandwagon shouldn't surprise anyone.
When I Googled the gravity difference between Earth and Mars it said that Mars' gravity is 38% ( I had thought 1/3, so I was close) of that on Earth not 1/5 as this article says.
It's weird that I haven't seen this yet since I'm subbed on YT. It seems YT would rather shove AI slop in my face than show me things I'd actually like to watch.
I used to wonder if it would be more efficient, purely from a farming perspective, that if you harvested a claw from a really big lobster, if they could grow it back faster than the same weight smaller lobster would develope from an immature one.
Mars' lack of a magnetic field, is the most problematic aspect of trying to teraform it. I'd say that one or other of the Jovian moons would be better in the long term.
Think about it, what's more green than smoking? If you cut ten years off the average human lifespan, how much less carbon and plastic doesn't end up in the environment?
Neither one has a strong enough magnetic field to protect us (or life similar to us) from the levels of solar radiation harmful to life. In my opinion, we'd be better served looking to inhabit one of the Jovian moons. As several others have already suggested, how about terraforming Earth for a change?
Last year I found the book The Rolling Stones by Robert Heinlein, and discovered the origin of Tribbles from Star Trek TOS. My gf was surprised and excited by my discovery, as she's a bigger Trekkie than I am. They are called "Flat Cats" in the Heinlein book.
