So... Are the memes all going to be -eans based? Do I need to start collecting some pictures of various deans for the next wave?
For me it would be a new external hard drive for all my data hoarding
Pacers and Bucks being the only two who improve quarter by quarter is interesting. Not sure if it signals much but I would have thought there would be more than two teams who happen to be like that
Pacers testing to see how far you can go with only offensive players
Condensation on milk barcodes causes scanning issues I've found
I guess it helps our draft pick...
I save the butcher paper that comes in a lot of the packages I order, and use that + twine to wrap things. It can look cute and old school and saves a bunch on buying wrapping paper (I also try and buy that on massive clearance after Christmas, and if I can get more generic or even just winter themed paper I'll angle for that to use for birthday gifts later in the year)
The premade soylents are pretty good, and I regularly have them with a protein bar as my lunch. They're pretty expensive in my opinion, so I try and look for them on sale, but the ease of not having to prep lunch is often worth it. I try and keep it under $2 a bottle for the 14oz ones, which still feels expensive to me, but some of the lunches I prep are around that cost, and it's way cheaper than going out to eat (I keep a spare one at work in case I ever forget to bring lunch)
Jalen Smith keeps winning in spot as back-up five

Another great article from Caitlin Cooper
The suns seem like they could desperately use him. I'll be curious to see how it works out
Pacers show off elite offense in win over Wizards
They looked good, although not a very serious challenge for them. The rotation will be interesting to watch

Honestly what's been impressive so far is the continued improvement of Sochan and Vassell. But Wemby is still incredible
I really like the single thread for all the games.

I don't know that I'll be up late enough eastern time to watch, but I might have to hit this game up on league pass, as I want to see how the new Blazers team is gelling

I cannot wait to really watch some Wemby. This will be a fun one.

God, the Pacers look so happy running out there. The Wizards don't seem like they're trying, so it's hard to judge how good they are, but the vibes seem immaculate
Good on him for asking a real question
Come comment on sports stuff! We don't have enough of that, the threads are pretty empty
That's a fair point, there realistically probably isn't somebody there to give you a much better shot
Yeah, it's a bit unfortunate we didn't make a backup plan and draft a QB in like the 5th/7th round. They might have less of a chance compared to Fields to make it, but this would be the perfect opportunity to try somebody else and see what that looks like... Tyson doesn't look like he's it to me
Are casseroles a big thing in Idaho? That's a tell tale sign of the Midwest.
My expertise is the Pacers, and I would take the over. Wizards had 35 wins last year, and I think the pacers team as constructed is better than that wizards team, and will be actually trying this year. I would put them in the 38-39 win range, so it's a soft over, but I think they'll hit it.
3 Takeaways from the Pacers preseason loss to the Houston Rockets
Indiana's defense must be better
Jalen Smith and Aaron Nesmith impressed
Buddy Hield did everything offensively but make shots
Personally I was most Impressed with Ben Sheppard. After a nondescript summer league, he was looking like a real player and a legit 3 point threat for the team.
The Pacers played their preseason opener like two mini-games and can take away plenty of good and bad to continue working on.
"Jarace Walker. . . essentially was the point guard over the final eight minutes of the game along wit overtime. The rook scored a team high 19 points, making 4 of 9 three-pointers and only two of those were ill-advised (he made one of the ill-advised shots). Walker also finished with 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 turnovers. He was a tick late on a few passes, trying to hit a cutter in traffic which lead to the turnovers, but he sees what is going on quite well."

The Indiana Pacers are reportedly working alongside Buddy Hield to find a trade partner after the two failed to reach terms on an extension.
I knew it would probably have to happen eventually but I'll be sad to see him go
Myles Turner on 2024 All-Star Game: "Y'all gonna see me there"
Myles Turner: “I’m excited for the All-Star Game, obviously. That’s gonna be in Indiana this year. Y’all gonna see me there, by the way. You heard it here first. But having that come to the city an…
Really hoping this turns out to be the case for him. Unlikely, but I like the target for him
Whats your favorite free open source software that everyone should try?
Lemmy seems like the right place to ask this. Personally I've really enjoyed Gurgle, which is a FOSS Wordle clone app.
Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin and Golden State Warriors forward Klay Thompson work out together
They aren’t on national TV much, but we expect the Pacers to be League Pass darlings. On a more important note, how good will they be with key offseason additions Obi Toppin, Bruce Brown, and Jarace Walker? What are the chances of Bennedict Mathurin taking a leap in year two, and is he an obvio...

Indiana Pacers rookie Jarace Walker underwent surgery on right elbow
The minor procedure will remove loose bodies in Walker’s elbow. He is expected to be fully recovered by September for the beginning of training camp, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

Three Takeaways from Pacers loss to the Pistons
The Indiana Pacers had an opportunity to make the semi-finals of Summer League if they were able to win against the Dallas Mavericks but the game was never close and rarely fun to watch. It was the…
