  • Yeah, sorry for that sounding anti bike, I had just cracked into an afterwork drink and was a bit jolly.(The lycra comment was unnecessary blanket statement based on the locals in my experience)

I would be 100% cycler if I lived in a place of fully supplied infrastructure. So your point on safety being a barrier is true. I grew up on BMX and MTX in the desert so while bikes have been a major part of my upbringing I never really had to contend with roads.

Generally I just feel we all lose. Bikers don't feel safe and car drivers have an extra obstacle.

The real truth is I don't know why I ended up in this thread. I haven't got any stakes and just got lost.

But you guys keep doin the work, carcentric infrastructure is really annoying.

  • Is there a place that belongs to drivers who realize all this, yet still get pissed off at bikes, but like, indirectly because their also angry that there isn't infrastructure in place that gets bikes the fuck out of my way?

I respect the grind, y'all, but you're right, I'm absolutely not gonna get in your stupid shoes and lycra just to experience the "pain" myself. I know it's dumb, but the "shared" roads piss me off too. I'll vote on somethin if you show me where.

  • Yeah, that was my reply to the mods. I had only mentioned an outside entity, no different than the countless twitter, linkedin, gmedd, and drsgme.org posts or comments that encourage outside conversation of GME. The rules 'as stated' only apply to other subreddits.

Will post an update when I get a response

  • Thing is, I didn't break the rule. it explicitly states other subs. Lemmy is not Reddit, there is no brigading or mention of another subreddit in my comment.

Would there be a difference between my comment, and perhaps, a comment about a Twitter thread or hashtag? hmm...

    Censorship in an image

Banned me for speaking about 'Other Subs' even though Lemmy isn't even part of Reddit! XD

Looks like I'm here for a while! Better get myself comfy!

  • We've got to keep these conversations in as many places as possible. I'm a bit contrarian to the thought that moving GME chat to new spaces is a bad thing or "fracturing"

These are topics that need to be in as many places as possible! Those in power LOVE the fact that we all gather in one dark corner.

We need those fuckers running around like the little Dutch Boy trying to shut down convos in more places than they can manage.

Thanks for the instance! If you know of any other instances or communities relating to DRS or GME, large or small, please share.

Maybe even index all known communities in the sticky and we can really find each other.

I came to Lemmy originally for

  • Absolutely, if there is any sort of centralisation in any way, it can be corrupted. Corporations will always chase the money or avoid funding being pulled. We have seen time and time again the price can always be met. Someone is always willing to bend against the greater good.

The only way forward is decentralised. Full, non-negotiable ownership of our assets, our communication, and our rights.

And of course, our GME shares :)

A look at the degradation of major social media platforms Post-Sneeze

So, today Reddit API changes are officially implemented and 3rd party is dead.

Coincidentally, Twitter has implemented a read limit on non verified accounts.

And remember all through 2022 any article written about META was about how much money they spent and failed building a venture into Web3?

Ever since the takeover of the bird by Elon, the hair on the back of my neck rose up. I was taken back to the days of the old DD that spoke of total social media shutdown before MOASS. Back then, anytime Reddit servers burped you could rush to Gagnam Style on YouTube and see fresh comments screaming moass. Later WuTang C.R.E.A.M.

Point is, a picture was painted of immediate, total blackout. This isn't the case. Same with the process of MOASS altogether. It's slow. It's been happening, in fact, per continuous DD, we are in it right now. The argument can be made that it was begun as far back as 2020 with our favourite Not-A-Cat.

After Elon bought the bird, the walls between us all began to ri
