  • Linux already runs a huge portion of the world's servers, which are a more lucrative target for bad actors than an individual machine, so it's solidly battle tested.

  • Zionist, Islamaphobia, Librals, come on throw in 'western imperialism' and I get a bingo...

  • TSA is a theater performance at best anyhow.

  • If they simply print money at will then it becomes worthless. Current only has value when there is a limit to it and is backed by meaningful credit of the issuer. Long ago it was known as the gold standard that you could literally exchange currency for material gold. Now things are largely financed by debt issuance which has an attached promise of interest with it.

  • I rather like having funded schools, libraries, cultural centers, and mundane things like roads that won't destroy my car driving over holes. It seems like a damn fine idea to provide safety nets for those with less, hell at one point I was one of those who had to decide if I got gas or milk that week. The mentality of minimal taxes basically can be summed up as 'fuck you, I got mine' which is a mighty crass way to look at things.

  • Johnson said the attack on Iran was a “defensive operation” because Israel was ready to act against Iran, “with or without American support.” He said President Donald Trump and his team determined that Iran would immediately retaliate against U.S. personnel and assets.

Oh, so first they where totally gonna nuke us in the next couple weeks, then it's all Israel's doing and poor helpless donnie had to go along with it.

  • At least in Murican law I'm pretty sure any use of any image that's not public domain could technically be flagged.

Ignoring the legal, morally and just generically, t's good know the origin if you use it routinely. If nothing else someone might ask if they think it looks good. I'm kind of a pic/meme hoarder that wouldn't be able to tell you where the specific origin of most are though.

  • Truly a masterful expert in the field of... Uhhh... Hmm...

BRB, building a dimensional portal to GTFO of this stupid timeline.

  • “President Trump said new potential leadership in Iran has indicated they want to talk and eventually he will talk. For now, Operation Epic Epstein Fury continues unabated,” the official said.

Collapse little donnie's whole family empire and we would all be better off.

  • Via the peersperation protocol?

  • Make sure not to play any tracks that could be considered 'fire'.

  • I recall what you're talking about, but was it even attached to the fedi? I thought it was a xitter thing to compare your style to others.

  • Ehh, there's a sliding window for things where the common interpretation changes. A term can be offensive to one group for reasons not commonly acknowledged by the rest of society, at what point is it generally deemed unacceptable?

One in particular that comes to mind is the term 'retarded', which at some point was a medical term of art. Over time it became generally used in a derogatory fashion, was replaced in professional language by more specific clinical terms and treated as a slur by society, but there wasn't some defining body that declared it so.

  • Because the admin lets me post semi-random thoughts on it, plus it makes a nice space heater in the winter and background noise in the summer.

  • Haven't been there in a couple decades, but that kind of 1984 BS would put them from passively skipping to actively disliking.

  • Couple dead pixels from a particularly bright light might well make them unable to do their plate reading job efficiently. Might make for an interesting study.

  • Define funny. Statistically people fart several times a day and some people find that hilarious.

  • Every time certain segments of society speak it causes small potions of the audience's brains to drip out of their ears. These bits are scraped up off the floor and, after mixing well with some tapioca, come to plausibly resemble the mental functions of the person last heard speaking.

  • If one wants to be an 'aktually' arse then take note that 'declawing' is actually a much more precise term than 'mutilation of extremities' which could perfectly well mean putting their tail in a wood chipper and be technically correct
