  • And your argument is: “I haven’t heard of them, so they must not exist”.

The whole purpose of these associations is for their function to be hidden from society, so of course you don’t hear from them if you are not a student here. Maybe interact with my arguments instead of keeping your eyes and ears closed to them and thinking you’re in the right just because.

I’d love to provide you with a nice article that explains everything to you but sadly most media is also owned by frat alumni so it is rare to find any substantial analysis on the political power of these fraternities.

  • In not saying their exactly the same as American fraternities. In fact, I don’t even know what American fraternities are like. I’m just describing how fraternities function in Western Europe. You might not think of them as fraternities, but they fall under the definition of a fraternity. They are elite associations of university students that are very hard to get into, have extreme hazing practices (every so often someone dies during these rituals) and as I said, 70% of politicians at least in my country are proud ‘alumni’ of these associations. They shape our political climate to an extreme degree.

It is bizarre to me how you’re attacking me because you think I’m wrong when I’m describing how fraternities shape our political climate and then demanding me for proof instead of explaining how I’m supposedly wrong. You could also just ask for clarification if you’re so curious.

  • I don’t know how to respond to this, just because you haven’t heard of them doesn’t mean they don’t exist.

  • In Western Europe, fraternities shape about 70% of the political class. They break down your morals and make you do horrific acts so that if you’d ever betray the ruling class, they will have enough material to discredit you. They are not primarily social clubs. Their core function is to create an elite class that helps its members get in powerful positions and protect their financiers, the capitalist class.

  • Epstein was an important link in a pedophile ring, his death will have had a significant impact on the functioning of this ring and might have destroyed relations between important partners. Great man theory is false, but the billionaires involved do have the political power to influence geopolitical events.

  • I do wonder about the geopolitical effects of Epsteins death due to the fact that the oligarchs lost one of their sources of what they perceive as ‘leisure’

  • Every new data center is stil harmful though. I don’t live in the US but new US owned data centers get built here quite regularly and they have ruined our ecosystem and power grid already.

Newly built schools are forced to buy their own power generator because there is no capacity left on the energy grid.

  • I think you’re saying that pizzagate was such an elaborate conspiracy with little to no proof, it makes people think that any conspiracy of a pedophilic cabal must be as unfounded. Even though we have tons of proof now.

I’m saying that pizzagate took away the shock of the discovery of a real pedophilic cabal by already floating the idea around years before without proof. So people are already used to the idea that it’s real but also used to the idea that they can’t do anything about it, even though there is a lot of evidence this time.

  • My theory is that is was designed to desensitise people to the atrocities. Probably a combination of both.

  • Every morning when I get out of bed is an executive function win

  • I think that’s pretty obvious by how it was pushed by large corporations and traditional media

  • Calvinism promotes the idea that if you experience success, then it’s because god has made you successful because you’re a good person. It’s the driving force between the equivalence people perceive between their economic success and their values. If a sports team wins by cheating, they still get the money and feeling of success and thus feel like good people because of the combination of cognitive dissonance and calvinist beliefs that are still strongly present in western society.

  • Ya Ya has a skin condition that made her hair fall out. Supposedly the US caretakers did not treat her appropriately and didn’t give her the diet recommended by Chinese experts. When she got back in China she was immediately treated for her skin and got fed a vitamin rich diet and now her skin looks healthy again.

  • You need to win to earn money and sponsordeals from professional sports. So it’s just the same mix of cognitive dissonance and calvinism that allows many people to feel like they deserve their success over others who work just as hard if not harder.

  • You can talk to her and be very clear about the dangers and the type of information she should not share on the internet. If you search for parenting resources on online safety you will find many resources that can help you prepare such a conversation.

And depending on the type of relationship you have with her, you can also tell her that she can always come to you if she finds herself in an uncomfortable situation online. It’s important that she doesn’t regret admitting this to you and feels safe to ask for guidance.

You can also sporadically ask her what she’s doing online to check if she’s following your advice.

  • Oil isn’t the only thing needed in Cuba. I think it’s mostly medical supplies that get brought in through these kinds of efforts.

  • There’s something about the way chuds talk that is insufferable.

  • It took a few weeks of scrolling through lemmygrad out of morbid curiosity of why y’all seem to love China and Stalin so much.

My first impression was that the China glaze here is akin to US glaze anywhere else but less harmful since it’s not a dominating narrative. I thought it would be healthy for me to read what you all have to say about China (and Stalin) and it slowly opened my eyes to the anti AES propaganda I’d been subjected to for so long. This was a few years ago.

  • I was surprised by his answer. Probably part of the reason why he’s now openly saying he wouldn’t vote for gavin is because he wants dems to understand that their only option for winning the election is to move to the left, and not already make them feel safe with going for Newson so early on.

I’m annoyed that I’m already confronted with this endlessly frustrating discussion but I suppose it’s good that Hasan is now combatting this bad ’harm reduction’ narrative.
