  • Then for me there is nothing against it. Of course AI can shit itself sometimes, but sometimes its nice.

  • If it is ON DEVICE and you can just disable it. Then i think i even would like that.

  • Hi,

    just for your information, only YOU (or admins) can still see the deleted sub. Purging is not necessary in this case as purging should only be the last resort option.

  • The thing is, the fediverse dont have a budget for lawyers that fight each and every single takedown request.

  • I mean… there ARE privacy respecting options, but guess what they chose to do so.

    Like, to protect the children UNPROTECT the children by uploading the face to a thirdparty company, so not even directly to discord. I didnt read their TOS or Privacy Policy, but i bet they save the images for “improving” their model and selling it to other AI / ML companies.

  • Nice that you found your instance. Its just sad to see instances go offline without any trace ( or unresponsive )

  • Steamdeck stays my top 1 handheld. It doesnt have support scam, burning sd cards and too pricey + windows as default ( immediate -25% possible performance )

    Steamdeck is just so much more usable with the touchpads, and its easily upgradable.

    Steamdeck 10/10
    ROG aly xyz 7/10
    Switch 2 -90$/Not my pocket

  • Downr.org - Free Media Downloader

  • A bit sketchy website, privacy policy and tos are just garbo text, that even chatgpt could have written better, but i guess if it works it works.

  • Looking forward to this. I have been adding bits and pieces to their wiki/guides at https://fedecan.ca/en/ too, as i think having guides related to the fediverse is a must have.

  • Hi,

    you can ask in the lemmynsfw element chat what is happening: https://matrix.to/#/#lemmynsfw:matrix.org .

  • Ok then its something we investigate. There is some config issue with the pictrs

  • Permanently Deleted

  • Could you elaborate that lemmy.world is blocked in UAE? you mean UAE is blocking lemmy.world or lemmy.world blocks your connection?

    For now i suggest you using a federated instance like lemm.ee, discuss.online any that is federated with lemmy.world.

    You probably know why we are blocking vpn/tor posting things.

  • Permanently Deleted

  • We do NOT block login or viewing. We only block certain destructive / distruptive api endpoints abused for spam ( E.g. posting, commenting, registering )

  • If it works there arent any logs to send then. But i guess it was just some unexüected downtim eof pictrs

  • It states "Review and Pay" so i think you pay for it.

  • And you even pay for the chance so i guess no refund if you were unlucky? ( I hope its a april fools joke, but in such times it is realistic )

  • I think it was just a temporary outage, it works on my side. We will investigate what happened if it was an outage.

    One thing you can check, are browser log, what exact message are you getting?

    Media Bias Fact Check - Automation

    Hello World, As many of you have probably noticed, there is a growing problem on the internet when it comes to undisclosed bias in both amateur and professional reporting. While not every outlet can be like the C-SPAN, or Reuters, we also believe that it's impossible to remove the human element from the news, especially when it concerns, well, humans.

    To this end, we've created a media bias bot, which we hope will keep everyone informed about WHO, not just the WHAT of posted articles. This bot uses Media Bias/Fact Check to add a simple reply to show bias. We feel this is especially important with the US Election coming up. The bot will also provide links to Ground.News, as well, which we feel is a great source to determine the WHOLE coverage of a given article and/or topic.

    As always feedback is welcome, as this is a active project which we really hope will benefit the community.

    Thanks!

    Hello world,

    we chose to close down this community and redirect everyone interested in wordnews to https://lemmy.world/c/world because we want to reduce the load on moderators and have at least locally on the instance less duplicate communities.

    We did this action with the cooperation of the mods in c/world and c/worldnews.

    First days impression.

    Heyo,

    i swapped to Pop!_os 2 days ago ( from linux mint, because i wanted some change and found pop_os ) and i like it!

    I have just few points that i would like to share:

    • That the displays scaling cant be changed per monitor untilthe activation of "Fractial Scaling" ( just as a beginner "weird" behaviour )
    • You cant disable / make the "Active window" border smaller.
    • You cant hide the top bar ( but thats acceptable as it hides itself if you are in full screen )
    • Customizability/Lack of keybinds ( for example move active window to Screen 1,2,3 with Super + 1,2,3,4 )
    • (The pop_store lags? sometimes if i search? idk if its just a known bug or if its something on my side?) )

    But its still very good and it has some cool features and simple installation!

    Thanks for the System76 devs for making such great OS!

    What are your must have programms on (debian/ubuntu based) linux?

    Hello!

    I am pretty new to linux ( almost 2 months PURE linux mint ) and i still find cool software ( like lazydocker, lazygit, zsh... ) but i feel like there are 100k more interesting software to have ;D

    If anyone could recommend me some cool / interesting software, that would be cool.

    Thanks

    how to use a typescript decorator and initialize the class

    I have currently:

    A Class with multiple functions A Decorator that saves the function to a list

    The problem:

    When i call the function "this" is not the class ( or not yet initialized )

    How can i implement it correctly?

    My Class Function Decorator:

    export function LemmyOn(data: ILemmyOn) {

      return function (
        target: Object,
        propertyKey: string | symbol,
        descriptor: TypedPropertyDescriptor<any>
      ) {

        events.push({ data: data, fn: descriptor.value });
        return descriptor;
      };
    }
