  • I dont have any particular problem showed by latest blood analysis i made. I dont take anything other than creatine and protein powder. The doctor didnt said this about creatine cause he saw somethibg off. He just said it like: hey you should stop cause it damages kidneys. like in general, not cause i had something wrong.

  • yeah he was a doctor, he wasnt the one who took my blood. i talked to him before the sampling to check the questionnaire i filled with medical, he measured my blood pressure and asked me a bunch of stuff.

    i always stay within and frequently under the suggested dosage, so i never tought somebody could straight up tell me i was ruining my kidneys. i would have expected this opinion on creatine from someone old maybe, but he was quite young. confusing times

  • Im completely losing my mind on my uni thesis. Im supposed to send everything by the 3 of december and i still have the second chapter to finish and start the third, for which i dont have much material. The professor isnt sending me back my first chapter with the corrections. If i cant make to graduate in the december session i lose one year of university. I had calmer times.

  • To be honest, people that say they prefer dogs over humans confuse me a bit. Like, i get the bond you can develop with some animals, thats under no discussion, but idk preferring an animal over a person with thousands of feelings, that is capable of complex thoughts and emotions is not something i particulary like. Im not saying this judging you in particular, but i feel like some people humanise pets too much. I think there's a distinct line between us and them and i've heard people saying that if they had to choose between saving their pets life or another human life they'd choose their own pet and frankly it disturbs me.

  • Not particulary tied to your example, but in Italy until 1981 the man who raped or kidnapped a woman could choose to marry her to "restore the honor of her and her family's", and the marriage would extinguish the penal effect of the crime (and mind that the crime wasn't against the person itself but against the moral). It was abolished when Franca Viola became the first woman to refuse this "shotgun marriage"; dont know if its called this way in english. But to be fair i think it kept being "normal" in the south longer than other parts of Italy, like even if the law still existed i don't think in the center or the north it would have been considered viable or normal. But yeah women had it pretty rough.

  • sorry for the confusion, i made a typo hahaha

    I asked about the 5700x cause the price seemed not too high and if i could get some more "future proofing" and cores for the right price i could get me to spend some 25€ more.

    But if you say its not worth the money more i think i'll stick to the 5600 or 5600X. :)

  • No no, i meant the R7 5700X.

    Im asking just because if the 5700x is a good offer for 130€, i can get me to spend something more for some more power and cores for the future. If you think its not worth the money more and dont really need ill settle for the 5600x.

  • Cheapest 5600i could find from reliable seller comes at 105€ (including shipping), 5600x for 116€ and 5700x 140€. Which one should you think is best? Edit: maybe i can haggle for some 5600x or non x on vinted to try lowering the price to an 80ish euro, but dont know id risk buying used from private sellers. (Also they are crazy with prices, they try sell used for same or more than new)

    I play all games at 1080p except CS which i play like lower 1000somethingx700something, and im 90% sure im held back by the cpu cause lowering further doesnt increase the fps (also i play almost settings at low so texture, models, effects ecc)

    About my current cpu another comment said that the 2600 cant handle 3200mhz, i searched a bit and found other reddit posts that says the same about the difficulty of the 2600 on dual channel ram over 3200. At this point i just wait until the new cpu and when i update the bios ill crank the ram to 3200 when i got the new cpu.

  • Incredible times, at least one homicide every day. Frequent mass bombings, kidnapping, eastern and western interference in national politics: what a time to be alive. (Not really lol)

    I'm a fan of Cold War and am italian so i love too that period.

  • My favourite period it's the Cold War and i'm very fascinated about the Eastern Bloc and USSR in particular :)

  • About the gpu i'm pretty sure its not the problem cause im running a very low resolution and lowering even more doesnt improve the fps, also i lost some frames (20-25) when i enabled core isolation on windows security, so im 90% sure its a cpu thing, but i'll try to check the utilization during CS just to be sure.

    Yeah i think i'll go for that 5700x, even though i will look meticously to find some x3d's deals, that would be amazing (thought i think i'll have to upgrade my hyper 212 cooler)

  • Thank you :) Yeah, i don't have high demands so probably the CPU will give me the boost im looking for. And when i'll have some money to spend and feel like the good ol 580 has done its job i'll be happy to upgrade.

    Btw it's all Valve's fault, it they kept with CSGO i would be rocking 220+ fps and everybody would be happier, greedy greedy corporations :/

    I tried to check usages today but Afterburner wasn't working for Counter Strike. I read that is a common problem, if you know another way i could check stats tell me!

    Tbh i don't even know what FSR is hahah. But im 90% sure is a CPU problem as:

    1)i play in an abysmal 1024x768 4:3 (and the fps are similar to when i played in 1920x1080, and going down further doesnt increase them either) 2) i got a 20-25 fps loss when defender asked me to activate core isolation, and i read that could cause a 10-15% loss
