  • Mostly Splatoon 3 (gotta keep up my catalogue progress!), but I’ll probably put more time into Palia. It’s a bit of a mess (plenty of bugs, and pretty choppy while docked), but it’s charming enough to keep me loving it.

I also have to make more progress towards finishing Tears of the Kingdom.

  • I’ve always been a fan of how German libraries treat Nazi-related works: still available, but in the Giftschrank or “poison cabinet”. That way, you can limit access to trusted researchers. It’s a good compromise between the importance of access to knowledge and acknowledging the danger of that level of hate.

  • As much as I dislike police, if someone said

'I know where you live, I know when you're home, I know when you're away, and I'm going to do something Sudbury will be remembered for.'

I’d want them to at least look into it instead of doing nothing.

  • This actually really works well, because the roll modifier is based on questions. Like if you want to manipulate a social superior, you ask “Have you caught them in a good mood”, “Does your well-being directly affect theirs?”, and another “class”-specific (actually a “playbook”, but similar) question. Each “Yes” gets a +1 to the die roll. So it’s all based on role play!

  • Similar to other PBTA games, in that you just have harm moves, but there’s a lot more of them. Most are keyed to your weapon, so you could only use Cleave (smash up armour) if you had a large sword, for example. The basic weapon moves include a nice grapple move that also works for quick duels.

There’s enough options to set your Vagabond apart, while not being too complicated. I was able to make a real wrecking ball of an owl knight (FOR JUSTICE!)

  • The Legend of Zelda @lemmy.ml
    ROldford @lemm.ee

    Yahaha!

Found it walking back from work (at University of British Columbia) today!
