  • Sib you are conspiracising your post sucking. Just stop sucking and post good instead.

  • Leni, shut your fucking mouth, stop arguing, and think about what you're saying - nearly every woman who had lived on the island reported a culture of sexual assault, including group sexual assault of children as young as 3. Regardless of that though, the Mayor's defence when accused of CSA was that the age of consent in the Pitcairns had always been 12 years old, and that removed takes place between strangers".
Nobody denied having either nonconsensual sex or sex with children, the defendent's entire defence was what they did was legal under Pitcairn law.

France even needs the bomb for is an equally big mystery

Motherfucker have you not heard of MAD? I can't believe I tried to be respectful at the start of this exchange.

  • Nobody has asked even the one question you're thinking of.

No Leni, they haven't, instead they're taking the piss out of you. They're asking silly "what do you think about [totally irrelevent song]" questions instead of ones about your world record because they don't care about your world record.

  • The people who identify as Pitcairnese are the descendents of British alcoholics who kidnapped Tahitian women, and based their entire culture around those two events. They've always been British.
And we know thier motives, they don't want to be prosecuted for the utterly unbelievable level of mass sexual assault against every woman on the island.

  • The Pitcairns aren't a sovereign state, they're a UK territory. They literally aren't a country.

  • "I am a news anchor" and "I just beat Ocarina of time" contain far more information that your post did - if written like your post they just be "I have a job" and "I beat a game".
A statement as open as "I'm a new anchor" allows room for all kinds of questions to ask, like what a newsroom is like, if you've had an embarrassing on camera moment, or what the biggest story you've reported on is. "I have a world record" opens the floor to exactly 1 (one) question, which is required for anybody else to ask an questions about that world record - "world record in what?".
Because that's the only possible question, everybody assumes that the answer will be unimaginably boring, and so don't even bother to ask in the first place. After all, if it was an interesting record you would have just said what it is, and skipped straight to the interesting questions.

  • Final Fantasy: Stranger of Paradise had a decent implementation - you get a stack of loot at the end of each level but until you get to the hardest modes you can just slap auto-equip to equip whatever currently has the best stacks. If you do grind your way to the point it actually matters then you're probably happy enough to spend the time perfecting your build anyway..

  • Heinz was born in '97, Hans would be born in '26 to be 19 in '45, which would mean Heinz was 29 when Hans was born - just the right age to be his father.
I could be wrong, but the timeline works out.

  • Hans was most likely Heinz's son.

  • Good luck, actually wanting to quit instead of feeling a responsibility to makes it much easier. It's still gonna fucking suck though so I'd both warn your partner now that you're going to be kind of a pissy dickhead for a couple of weeks and make sure you apologise for anything you've done or said afterwards. One thing I found helpful was reassociating my breaks - going outside and just playing on my phone or something for 5 minutes instead of having a cig. After 10 or so years a break and a cig were essentially the same thing in my mind, so breaking that association helped a lot.

  • Bud Light in the US is 4.2%, Michelob Light 4.3%, Coors Light 4.2% - in the UK Bud Light is only 3.4%, Tennants Light 3.5%, Machester Brewery Light 3.4%. You can remove alcohol to lower the calories, but in Europe Light distinctly refers to the alcohol, not the calories.

  • Cool guy organises outdoor activity for his local community

  • Good points: magic+school=fantasy kids can easily relate to

    Bad points: the rest

  • Ah, you're thinking about Social Work's relation to captalism and capitalist society rather than capital then. That's definitely a whole different board game and one I never had the strength to engage with - my mum and sister are social workers and just hearing about their days has left me confident I couldn't do their jobs without physically assaulting a manager - but the book my mum swears by is Clement Atlee's The Social Worker. 1920's reformist western leftism warning etc, but the main thrust of the book is arguing for social workers as agents of agitation and societal change rather than just solving people's problems for them. It's a UK perspective rather than American, but it might help you precipitate more of your thoughts.

TL;DR as long as you're not shooting people or animals slingshots are toys, no matter how far, fast, or accurately they propel objects.

How does fat increase insulin resistance? Fat does not trigger a insulin response.

Insulin regulates your metabolism and the conversion between sugars and fats within your body, affecting everything from sugar production to protein synthesis. Your body isn't a simple mechanism where everything has one job and is unaffected by the rest of the chemical soup. Fats don't trigger a release of insulin, that doesn't mean they have no effect on it.

  • Ok, I think you've gotten a bit confused by someone peddling a scam diet.

    • Basically all fat sources are a mix of saturated and unsaturated fats
    • Coconut and palm oil are much better sources of saturated fats than animal fat, but you don't really want to be consuming those either, because
    • Saturated fats have definitely been associated with insulin resistance - monounsaturated fats are the one that reduce it.

Canola and Olive oils are the ones you want to be using to help with cholesterol and insulin resistance.

  • We're Hexbears, we don't need alts, we're just much more powerful posters than you. Our posts about piss and beans and pissing on beans get more upvotes than all of your posts combined.

  • Go on then, what makes vegetable oils industrial but animal oils not?

Completely bollocksed up last night's session. Abject fucking failure as a DM.

I was busy keeping track of Black Tentacles and Crushing Despair's effects so I forgot about the second save for creatures who critically fail against Phantasmal Calamity, which could have stopped the two standing PCs from reviving the two downed PCs and led to a complete TPK. Just one of them failing the save would have guaranteed a dead party member, and they only had about a 20% chance each to succeed. After that they would have had to roll a 19 or 20 to escape the illusion thanks to their debuffs, which they'd need to get on their first attempt or lose both of the downed party members.

And now one of my players has pointed out Black Tentacles has been upgraded to Slither in the remaster so they should have been even more killed. With an extra 2d6 damage plus persistent poison every round I could have absolutely tpk'd them. This is so fucking upsetting. They should have all died and had to make new characters and the paladin player forced to write the backstory on why the help he r

my sister's friend's husband went to a magic tournament yesterday so I had to explain to my family what magic the gathering is and why "the smell" is a criticism of a card game
