  • I just built a rig I intended to last me the next ten years, and to obtain independence from Windows, NVIDIA, and Intel (though obviously not their x86 architecture or their AV1 encoding/decoding). I swore I wouldn't build another in that time unless things changed drastically soon and/or components became really cheap. I figured in ten years I'd be able to compile a much more Chinese rig (well, y'know, moreso than I have now because everything has some stuff from there).

  • I don't doubt some proshippers are groomers. There are a massive amount of proshippers, especially outside the west like in LATAM and Asian fandoms so it happens from time to time and other proshippers call it out.

  • There's no mutual exclusivity here. He's a victim, yes. Same as how many advocates of corporal punishment are also victims of it. If we think deterministically enough, we're all victims of circumstance. But you can be a victim and an oppressor, and he is not as much a victim as Good was. Being ruthless to the system requires neutralizing these people whatever their circumstances are.
