Because there are still some great communities on Reddit that don't exist in the same way elsewhere.
It had some really rough moments intertwined with some really well done moments. Overall it's fine. The shots of the cities and some of the fights were beautiful. I also really liked some of the zuko and iroh backstory that wasn't in the original show. Some of the dialogue was very clunky and they mashed up a bunch of stories into the same episode which felt weird and didn't totally work. I enjoyed watching it for the most part. It was never going to be as good as the original so I think going in with that expectation helped.
I moderated a mid sized sub for a while. Around 100k users. It was a hobby I was into and I figured may as well moderate because I was spending a lot of time on the sub anyways. It also let me put together some community events which were always fun. Once it stopped being fun and started feeling like a job, I left. I never really thought about it as doing free work for reddit and more helping community building for a hobby I had. People do it for all sorts of reasons. The "power mods" are really the issue.
In pound coins it'd be 8750 tons
Everyone knows it would be 1 billion pounds or 500,000 tons. /s
When this post is 48 hours old, lemm.ee will be going down for a database upgrade (Edit: upgrade complete!)
It literally doesn't matter if people know or not. As long as things run smoothly, it's fine.
Not sure what you mean. They can already pull any public data on lemmy, as can anyone else.
he used to accept donations way back but stopped since he felt like he could make do without them
He actually has channel memberships now but with absolutely no perks lol. There's no expectation to become a member which is nice. I've been subbed to the $2/mo tier for about a year or two now. Been watching etho for like 10 so it's nice to support a little more directly than blocking ads lol.
Definitely some of the best production value on youtube. Even his stuff from 10+ years ago holds up incredibly well aside from the resolution.
Idk I'm not dependent on it. I don't drink coffee every day but sometimes I'll drink a lot. It doesn't really effect me much when I drink it and I can easily skip coffee for days at a time so it's hard to call it a problem.
Regardless, the FDA says that 400mg of caffeine per day is safe for healthy adults so the 390mg lemonade is fine.
Dunkin serves their large iced coffees in 30oz cups. I also will frequently drink a whole pot of coffee throughout the day. 390mg of caffeine is really not that significant for the average person.
It's an imperfect comparison because sex workers sell their body and take on risks that way. Drug dealers sell a product and aren't necessarily endangering themselves in the same way.
Dude. Have you been to taco bell? You can get a well over 2000 calorie meal for like $15
Welcome to lemmy. I hate big corporations but some of the people on this site will blame amazon when they stub their toe.
I assume because some fucking ghoul noticed people liked taking them for their cars so now we just don't get napkins!
They were probably just out and too busy to restock or something. It happens. Never been to a fast food place where they don't provide napkins and I steal napkins from the taco bell I live near regularly. What a weird overreaction.
This meme will now be my desktop image.
Google isn't an ISP when it comes to youtube. Yes, they are an ISP in the context of Google fiber but this is completely different. It would be a violation of net neutrality if they slowed certain sites to fiber users.
Net neutrality is about ISPs though.
20oz is pretty standard from what I've seen for large hot coffees. I believe that the dunkin large iced coffees are like 30oz(while hot is 20). Relatively standard sizes in the US tbh.
It absolutely does not. 100mg per what? They list different quantities of each drink on that source. If you look at it from a mg/fl-oz perspective, you'll see that the lemonades are on par with coffee.
Ok so it actually has less caffeine then because the lemonade has 260mg/20 fl oz. Are you looking at the calorie count by mistake? Either way, a 8mg difference isn't that significant because different coffees will have variations in caffeine content along the same lines.
