First the crisis in my country and now this? Why do my people have to suffer no matter where they go...?

An insult from eastern Venezuela: "Campamento'e Pipe" (Dick's Camp).

Write, write until I drop dead, with a smile in my face.

Ehm... I'm not from USA... But since you ask, yes! He would be the first one!

Billionaires, to the god Quetzalcoatl.

This reminds me of a reel on Instagram where the singer Aurora said something along the lines of "Isn't it weird how the Β«villainsΒ» want to break the status quo while the Β«heroesΒ» seek to restore it?" and in the comments there were ones that said "For this nonsense people become leftist" and exactly right below that another one said "For this nonsense people become right-wing".

What is the aura versus the support and love of those you care about, whether human or animal?

Now the fact that he did Graduation is no longer said to exculpate his madness, but with resignation and shame. "This... guy is the same who made my favorite album..."

And that is why they crucified him, The Old Testament Repeatedly says "Be a dick against gays, infidels and non-virgin women who are not your wife. And whoever comes to say otherwise, be the most absolute dick against him".

You know, I have a personal theory that this particular law was established as a measure of genital hygiene, since without the foreskin dirt does not accumulate on the glans; but over the years it was distorted until it became a divine mandate that is just for the sake of it.

One thing to do everything or a specific thing for each specific need?
Would you rather be able to do everything with one thing? Say, listen to music, take pictures, play, work and whatever with one device? Or would you rather have a specific device for listening to music, a specific device for taking pictures, a specific device for work and another one to play and such?
I personally prefer to keep things separate these days. On a practical level it means that I don't depend entirely on a single object and that, if gets lost, damaged or runs out of battery, would let me with nothing at all. On a subjective level, I feel that having specialized objects for each need gives more weight to the routines I create with them, contrary to when I kept everything in one place and it felt superfluous and banal.
So far I have an old phone that I use as an MP3 player, an old tablet as an EBook, my old Ps2 to play games and so on.

Me: Is that true?
Search a little
Me: Oh my god...

You can do the same in the original console with Homebrew apps.

Pcsx2 is the best it can be nowadays. I remember using it years ago and how difficult it was to configure it, but now it runs like silk even on outdated hardware like my PC, I don't know what black magic the team behind it did. After the original hardware, pcsx2 it's the best option to play the Ps2 gems.

Its in my play-list! I may play it next after I finish Psychonauts.

Isn't this how Japanese works?

Grid or List?
What is your favorite way to visualize... Anything, images, files, music, games, etc?
In grid is aesthetically appealing, but I find it very difficult to visually locate what I'm looking for quickly. In list, on the other hand, it's boring as fuck, but it's stupid easy to find anything.

I'm currently playing Psychonauts and Downhill Domination (This game is so cool omg).

Oh the list of all the games is veeeeery looooong, like 70 games, but my current favorite that I couldn't play in the day are:
- Psychonauts
- Zone of The Enders
- Yakuza
- The Simpsons Hit & Run
- Downhill Domination (this game is Rad as hell!!)
While some that I'm replaying because they are really REALLY good are:
- Devil May Cry 3
- Soul Calibur 3
- Lego Batman
- Sonic Megacollection plus

Dolores Umbridge was a JK Rowling Self Insert all this time.

I couldn't make it to work a single day and ended up getting paid 25% less this paycheck.
The transport passes 20 minutes earlier without previous warning, leaves without waiting for me, as I was not ready yet, and I end up getting paid less.
They didn't even think of counting that day as a day off...
Fucking wonderful.

The Devil (Lucifer) is an undercover cop.
This is my apocryphal theory: The Devil never really betrayed God, he is just pantomiming being his adversary to make God look more benevolent and the only alternative for salvation.
The Devil tempts people to fall into sin so that they end up in hell and being tortured for ever, just as a cop under cover pretends to sell or buy drugs and then arrests those who fall into the trap.
This role is even consonant with his Angel name: Lucifer, the light of God. For there to be light there must be darkness, so Lucifer takes the role of that darkness.
(For the record: no, I didn't read Ssndman or Predicator, nor saw the Lucifer TV Show, so I don't know if this theory is already known. If so, please share where I can read more about it, thanks!)

What is your personal definition of "Productivity" and what do you think is its end goal?
I have my own ideas, but I want to first see what you say before "clouding" the answers with my thoughts.

How and/or where can one find out if a game mechanic is patented or not?
Is it possible to know if a mechanic you want to apply to a game is patented before applying it or do you only find out when you are sued?

I have no proof but also no doubt that all of Musk's lackeys at DOGE talk exactly like Ben Shapiro.
You know how: speaking their nonsense as quickly as possible in order to appear smarter.

All my sisters are "independent workers" (self-employed) (Dentist, Bureaucratic Procedures Manager), while all my brothers and I are salaried workers (Oil Company, Restaurant, Food Distributor).
I don't know, I find this distinction by gender curious. Although considering that my sisters are very much into doing things their own way, it's not much of a surprise.
EDIT: a more precise description of what my sisters do and one of my sister's job.

Does your enjoyment affects your mood or your mood affects your enjoyment?
When you feel down, does enjoying something you like help you or does your state of mind prevent you from enjoying it?
In my case it is the latter. When I'm in an emotional slump everything I like doesn't lift my mood. It's only when I'm in, let's say, a "neutral mood" that I can start to enjoy things.
(And yes, I know that's a symptom of depression. I'm under medical treatment for that, don't worry. I ask out of honest curiosity))

I recently learned the term "Vibe Coding" and I can't believe that it doesn't mean to be doing spaghetti coding but you don't care because you're just vibing with it.

Why does it seem that "freedom" and "security" are antonyms?
It seems that whenever you look for one, you lose the other. If you seek labor freedom, you lose economic security, and vice versa. States "promise" more security in exchange for citizen freedom. It is very difficult for me to find an instance in life in which security and freedom can fully and frictionlessly coexist.
Is it just me or is that how it goes?

Lemmy and the fediverse as a whole be like

The fact that the penguins have guns makes it more accurate.

We human beings simply love to experience life in its fullest.
We like things cold, we like things hot, We eat raw food, we eat cooked food. We want to fly like birds, swim like fish, dig like moles, climb like goats. Spiciness is supposed to be a defense system of plants to avoid being eaten and yet we still eat them. Alcohol is literally a poison that clouds our senses and yet we drink it. Pain is a pleasure for masochists. We jump from impossible heights for fun. We listen to music, watch movies, read books that deliberately make us sad. Many of us can't help but watch news or content that makes us angry, some watch disgusting videos for pleasure. The Horror genre is one of the most loved genres in any medium. Both singles people and couples love to hear, watch, read about love.
There is no feeling, situation or state that even one of us wouldn't want to experience at least once.
The fact is that we love to live... But only if it is our choice to do so.
("Well, not me. I don't like to do any of that shit ", okay pal, okay...
