  • Windows on desktop, Mac on laptop (altho likely switching to Framework with windows soon)

  • The similarly priced Pixels get similar update levels to the iPhone SE

  • Couldn't care less about blue bubbles cause I mostly use Telegram. I'm currently running two phones, on iOS & one Android.

My iPhone syncs nicely with my iPad which i appreciate. I also find the photos app better, especially how you can sort by date (metadata) or date-uploaded. Also the 6.1inch iPhone gets better battery than any of the similar-sized Androids I've tried.

  • Quake Champions is an awesome PC shooter that almost no one has heard about. Has a small pro-league and everything

  • At home I exclusively go up-stairs on all fours

  • Niche communities like Quake Champions and city-specific subs

  • Pixel 7a is really nice, and the 6a goes on sale pretty cheap if you can find it in stock

  • I use Apple Music on Android/Windows, would recommend

  • I've used Spotify, Deezer, Tidal, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music

    Id rank them:

    Apple Music

    Spotify

Amazon Music (hot take I know)

    Deezer

    YT Music

Tidal (expensive and didn't like the UI

    On Android/Windows btw

  • Id stick with reddit and use AdBlock to avoid supporting the platform

  • Not opposed to ads necessarily, altho would be opposed to any trackers that are used for ad-targetting.

Not sure this is even possible with Lemmy tho?

Apple Music on Windows is... good?

Really surprised and pleased with how good the Apple Music Beta feels on Windows. A bit buggy still (to be expected for a beta), but runs much faster and more smoothly than iTunes and, handles large playlists much better than Cider.

    Anyone else have thoughts?

What have you been listening to lately?

Been listening to a lot of Classical today, but the Mahler stood out :)

    How about you?

  • Telegram, Bitwarden, Ticktick

  • U forgot Thunder

  • Headphones is prob the biggest. City-specific ones would be nice but, seems unlikely

  • Is there a rundown on what they're all like? Only familiar with Lemmy and Mastodon

RocketJumpNinja points out one of Quake's Best Features

Zy's Latest Vid shows off how aiming in Quake compares to other games, and how that relates to aim assist. Very good vid

  • Bioshock I think, loved it so much. Excellent writing and graphic design. Wish the remaster had improved the visuals more tho

  • I have the same wallpaper, never seen anyone else with it haha

  • I'm using it, I like it a lot so far. Only downside is it seems to be 60hz limited

  • Development costs money 🤷 tbh I felt bad disabling it until I made a small donation myself

Mini-Review of Every Audio Product I’ve Used!

    IEM’s:

Sony XM4: Great sound (for TWS) and noise cancelling, but a tad uncomfortable and not great for working-out (in my ears anyway). Creates a loud thumping noise while running

Senn Momentum 3: My favourite all-round TWS. Comfortable, solid sound quality, stays in my ears well, noise cancelling is good (a small step behind Sony tho)

Jabra 85t: Okay and comfortable, but I wouldn’t pick them in 2023

Pixel Buds Pro: Great comfort, great case, poor sound quality. These are a substantial step behind Sony/Senn in sound quality imo which makes it hard to recommend.

Moondrop Starfields: Sound quality is solid but, not very good comfortable in my ears. Very pretty though :)

Blessing 2 Dusk: A solid upgrade from Starfields, better comfort by a lot and sound feels more detailed. Starfields have a slight graininess to them in comparison.

Moondrop Chu: Best sounding IEM’s I’ve tried in this price range. Also super comfortable. Only worry is durability an
