  • Ngl around 16/17 when I started hearing voices and seeing things in the shadows. It's hard to stay concentrated on your school work when your hearing bugs in your head telling you that they've just broken into your brain. That's just what schizophrenia is like. I'll just be going around the place talking to people normally like I'm not hearing the most unhinged voices in my head.

  • Not really, onlyfans may take over porn but it wouldn't affect strip clubs. Onlyfans is all about pornography while strip clubs are more about the club it's self. The strippers are just the sprinkles on top. Onlyfans is pernident as everything you post is on the Internet forever while being a stripper can be temporary like it was for me.

    Quite a few actually. There is quite a lot of overlap between stripping and other types of sex work. As you said "once you can be comfortable taking your clothes off and doing a lap dance for a stranger, it’s not a very big stretch to go to escorting."

    I also knew a lot of strippers who were also dancers and gymnasts.

  • Not really. The customers vibe was always the same. Just dance in front of them 98% naked and laugh at they're goofy pick up lines. That was about it

  • Funny you say that because I actually did. I once ran into a bunch of other people I knew from uni. They just thought it was funny and ask for a dance.

    It was pretty awkward running into them after that. I told them to promise not to tell anyone and to they're credit they seemed to have not done that.

  • Yeah, that's just what it's like. Dealing with creeps is just a part of the job. Heck, it's the main demographic. I've had people give me lewd compliments, slap my behind, awkwardly flirt with me or just try to pay for sex, wolf whistle, randomly get boners and try to hide them/feeling one during a lap dance. It's quite literally a hard job.
