Getting started questions (especially TrueNas SCALE + storage)

  • Have you thought of trying UNRAID. It will introduce you to world of docker. Lots of videos out there to get you started.

    Your hardware is fine for truenas.

    • Which is better OMV or TrueNAS or Nextcloud?

  • I have tried few of them but I highly recommend you to try UNRAID. It will introduce you to world of docker containers

    • File server for photos

  • OP, look into photosync in app store! I use this app to sync photos and videos from apple devices to samba. You can download photos as well.

    • I2P support getting added to qBittorrent 4.6.x

  • I have not yet. I think its too early for me especially when there are limited information available. I hear Unraid team are planning for zfs on arrays on 6.13 which is still bit further away.
