I been banning the accounts (and removing everything they have posted) as I randomly come across them/they get reported. So if you report the account everything will get removed as soon as I see it. They been spamming from other instances not just eviltoast.org tho.
Yea they keep all the data. I deleted everything on my account when the whole shitshow happened and then GDPR requested the data associated with the account and it was all still there. And when I requested that they delete that too they outright refused.
Happy holidays to you as well!
I don't really care about it, but celebrate Christmas and the new year.

Features a 1511 remodel including new staircases, fitted with a water source inside the cave and a secret passage way to allow for food ingress during a siege, and stunning views of the Slovenian countryside.
Keyboard and mouse for literally everything except things where using a wheel makes sense (ETS2 and ATS).
I can not use controllers at all. I can't wrap my head around using them properly and pretty much all except one (ps3) hurt my hands after 15 mins.
Oh no...
Yea, I am afraid our instance name is literally a meme so I hope you are fine with telling everyone that you use Arch anytime you post anything from this account :D
Also welcome to the instance! If you use arch or not :)
Thank you for confirming that I didn't mess it up too badly :)
No worries!
I actually just got the same nonsense on my work laptop so I can now actually give the "official" English translation:
Search box has been added to your taskbar. Want to keep the change?
Keep it | Undo
Close enough
The ? search has been added to the application bar. Do you want to keep this change?
Keep | Cancel
I think the thing that I marked with ? just says box (so search box), but I am not 100% sure.
Hopefully this helps and I haven't fucked up the transation, I has been a long time since I last spoke Italian.
RTX 3090 and xorg, because if its not broken don't fix it. I need to have something I can actually rely on working 100% of the time (or at least be broken in expected ways) and from what I read wayland isn't all that great with Nvidia GPUs.
Oh yea, I have used it for other things and it is amazing, it just never crossed my mind to check for that specific issue, silly me :D. I really didn't think they would actually let you disable the update check and I always complained about it because on phone it lets you run whatever outdated version you want...
Not who you replied to but I haven't had any issues with a 3000 series card and LTSC, but I only used it for a whooping 12 hours since I got the card (I do 99% of gaming directly on Linux) so take my answer with a grain of salt.
I might be missing something but can't you just manually download the drivers from the Nvidia website on LTSB?
Oooooooo I didn't know about that either. I haven't had the issue yet with that on Arch, but it was a constant issue back when I was using Manjaro and for some reason I never thought to look up if I can disable it (I just automatically assumed I couldn't I guess). Thanks for letting me know about it!
I see, makes sense ^^.
Ah someone else who updates when Discord stops working, there is at least 2 of us :D
Huh, is new emojis being available a common thing? I am too old for that shit and still use the text ones :)
And those I literally said I update at least once a month or more.
Google Street View - Panama Coverage Released
Find local businesses, view maps and get driving directions in Google Maps.
After months and months of waiting, the Google Streetview for Panama has finally started being released.
Additionally Greece got updated coverage and Qatar got its coverage extended.
Edit: Monaco just got its coverage updated for the first time in over 10 years too!
I run that command in the background while working, usually it doesn’t even require a reboot.
Interesting, I always avoid updating as much as I can whenever I work on something because 3/4 of the time something starts to act wonky resulting in me needing to close everything down and reboot.
I would imagine having to deal with it for that long every time would make you wanna game even less. I am so glad that 95% of games work fine on Linux nowadays.
Oh wow, snow already :o
Absolutely stunning pictures as always, thank you for sharing!
I assume you just read my comment quickly and missed this very important part:
The only thing ever running on them is Steam and they only get booted once every so many month so I really don’t care.
There is literally nothing else on those systems. If you manage to actually somehow get to them then congrats, you deserve it and Valve needs to check better what they let people upload/download.
I am lazy, but I am not stupid.
I have seen some people reporting non working audio with Pulseaudio as well, but I haven't tried myself or looked more into it after I found what fixes it for me.
How often do you update your OS?
It has been a while since I last made a post questioning things, life has been really busy. But I currently got a little bit of downtime so why not make a new thread again :)
So the question is how often do you do updates? Every day? Once a week? Once a month? When XY thing happens? Never? Or is it just completely random?
Defederation of burggit.moe
As you have probably noticed we took a pretty hands off approach to moderating this instance. If something is straight up malicious we will remove it, if not we will let the moderators of the respective communities to deal with it. We believe everyone should have the right to their own opinions, even if we don't necessarily agree with them and based on that we have not defederated from any other instance, till now.
Yesterday I came across what I would very much consider borderline, if not just straight up CP communities that someone on this server subscribed to. There was not just one single community, there were several on a singular instance. I told Sören about it and the instance has now been defederated and the communities purged. Hopefully there shouldn't be any leftovers of it.
I don't imagine anyone having an issue with us doing that, but we just wanted to let you know for fully transparency. We like for people to have access to everything, but some things are just too much (
Devastating floods kill three people and destroy roads, bridges and houses, affecting two thirds of Slovenian territory.

Devastating floods triggered by torrential rains have caused the death of at least three people in Slovenia, with estimated damage of 500 million euros ($550m).
Prime Minister Robert Golob said on Saturday that floods on Thursday and Friday were “the biggest natural disaster” in the small Alpine nation’s history.
Golob said road and energy infrastructure were hit particularly hard, as well as hundreds of homes and other buildings. Thousands of people have been forced to evacuate their homes and many had to be rescued by helicopters or firefighters in boats.
Slovenia’s army has joined the relief effort, with troops reaching cut-off areas in the north to help.
Two-thirds of the territory in the country, home to two million people, were affected, the prime minister said.
Among those who died were two Dutch climbers on Friday in the mountains near Kranj, presumably as a r
On my desktop
I put Arch on my laptop 3 weeks ago and it seemed to run fine so now after getting a new SSD for my desktop it was its time install Arch there too. Its completely unsetup so far, but obviously the first thing I had to do was to run neofetch.
Enough software questions for now, what is your hardware?
It has been a little bit since my last post. I generally post when I am bored at work and the past 2 weeks were busy.
Today for a change I am curious about your hardware. Do have a laptop, desktop, both? One, 2, more? Why so many if you got more than 1? What hardware is it in it? Anything you would like to upgrade/change for your use case? Ever ran into any support issues with them? Any Steamdecks or funky hardware around?

What DE/WM do you use? Any you tried in the past and hated?
Last week I was asking about when and why you started using Linux, thank you everyone who took their time to write an answer! It was interesting to read all of your guys stories and I was surprised just how far back some of them go.
Now I am curious about your guys DE/WMs. What do you use? What do you like/don't like about it? What have you tried? What is you go to? Any you absolutely can not stand the sight of? Any that you tried that disappointed you?
Once again no judgment, just curious about peoples experiences.
When and why did you start using Linux?
I am just very curious what peoples stories are. And if you are not using Linux what is holding you back?
No judgement of any kind, just pure curiosity.
I finally finished my upgrade project on my ThinkPad T440P 💪

I'm in love with this big guy :)
And here are the upgraded components:
- 1080P IPS Screen
- 512GB SSD
- DVD caddy replaced by a HDD caddy (intalled an additional 512GB SSD)
- Processor upgraded to an i7-4712MQ
- Grizzly Kryonaut thermal paste upgrade
- US keyboard replaced by another one with Spanish layout (original, found on eBay)
- RAM upgraded to 12GB (enough for me)
- Brand-new original 9-cell battery (also found on eBay)
I don't think I forget anything... well maybe the best upgrade: I use Arch, btw!

Nothing exciting, but it is actually my first Arch install (been using Manjaro for years). Now I can actually say that I use Arch btw.
And yes, I might have used archinstall, I am not smart enough to do it properly :(
