Do you get to choose it with a budget or they buy whatever cheap, uncomfortable thing was available? I'd much rather use my own equipment if I'm gonna be using it everyday.
Huh might depend on the specific rom. It's there on Sony along with pop up and multi window.
In your account tab, there is a bookmark icon on the top right
Does it not also exist on the bottom right in the recents view? This left-most position is the least useful. But I don't think it ever dissappeared for me.
Another thought, when 80% of cinema movies are based on franchises you don't care about, you kinda stop following cinema schedules. Movies that are not expected to do well are also given less time in cinemas and worse time slots. I did watch Mickey17 because I knew about it beforehand but usually by the time I learn about a movie I actually want to watch it's already on its way out of the cinema.
It's worse when you're a pedestrian. If you swerve towards me and expect me to get out of your way you kinda have to tell me where you're going. But if you walk a lot you get better at judging intentions by the changing speed of the car and distrasting blinkers.
*then we'll have code that may or may not be ok and no more senior programmers to check it.
Ahora me gusta menos.
It might happen with non-crt screens too. I remember a flat screen (LCD?) that made a different noise depending on the color it displayed. White and light colors made a lot more noise and if you had good ears you could tell the difference without looking. Not sure how they work though to explain this.
Also the cost of getting more internal storage is not just the difference between the two models. Because as you said the 512GB model wasn't even available when you bought the phone but in 2-3 years it will probably be the default. But by then you can't just buy more storage like you would by getting a bigger card, you need a new phone.
What's most annoying is that midrange phones do not have that much storage to begin with. I tend to keep my phones for 3-5 years and storage always becomes an issue before the battery (even when all photos live in the SD card) because apps require more with every update. I can't imagine having both media and apps in internal storage.

Are there any android browsers with a developer console?
cross-posted from: https://infosec.pub/post/25081271
At times I need to open the developer console/inspect element panel from my phone. The Kiwi browser allowed you to do that but its development has stopped. Are there any other browsers that have this function? Either chromium or firefox-based is fine. Alternatively, do you know of any other workarounds for this that do not involve a computer?

Athens tram

Disclaimer: it feels like a lie to claim this is Athens as it usually looks nothing like this but this specific part was very pretty.

Metro in Thessaloniki, Greece

Some context here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thessaloniki_Metro
This seems to have flown under the radar a bit but it's a similar case to the metro project in Ho Chi Minh. It took an eternity to finish with the first hole being dug in 1989 and it finally opened to the public last month. It had become kind of a meme due to all the delays and changing of hands among now-bankrupt companies and with every government promising to open it (it's had at least two opening ceremonies years apart). Now a month later it's still having issues and is really small, mostly serving the center but it's the first driverless metro in Greece with modern stations and also featuring a museum so it's promising.

Sun into the water #2

Based on a comment in my other post, tried to get a similar effect with a subject in front. Not the same but turned out nice. Getting fish to cooperate is HARD.

Is anyone using VMware under a Wayland host?
I've been using VMware Player (free version) for a while now and it's been working fine. Recently I switched to Wayland and VMware's grab input behavior broke. The guest gets most keys correctly but Alt and Super are intercepted by the host. Clicking on the vm also gives me a remote desktop popup on the host prompting to allow remote interaction which gives some weird results both on the host and guest. Apparently this is a known issue with gnome(?) and the only workaround is to add Super to any shortcut (eg. Super+Alt+Tab) but this obviously doesn't work for all shortcuts.
I'm using Gnome on Fedora and Ubuntu and they seem to have the same behavior (but no remote desktop popup on Ubuntu). Both work fine on X11. I've also tested both VMware player 16 and 17.
So if anyone is using VMware on Wayland, do you know of a combination that works? Does it work on KDE? Should I just swit

Crows in the clouds

Shot on my phone but it came out pretty good.
