  • Since you use $, I think we're an ocean apart, so I can't give you some. But def ask around at your local organic produce store, or pin a message wherever hippies / health nuts / counterculture people hang out.

  • In my experience, it helps a lot. By orders of magnitude. (And it tastes great. I don't add much spices or herbs, to let the artichokey flavor shine.)

  • Hey, I am/was Syrian catholic.

  • Tweezers. Always.

  • I sell fake medicine to old people.

  • Same. This week I rode the new tramway network blind in a coastal city to have adventures with Kid. We bought copper wire and made jewellry with pretty pebbles (harder than I thought.) We played Split Fiction (and like It Takes Two better.) We showed her The Good Place (she loves it, because duh.)Whe have fun.

  • I live in the ruralest part of Ruralia. Kids around here think traffic lights are made-up props found in movies.

  • It's awesome. Real cucumbers are so tasty. Fava beans. Squash. Spinach. Sun-warmed tomatoes. Brussel sprouts. Salads. All the herbs. All the jams, jellies, and juices. And enough apple pie filling for 40 pies. I love my life.

  • Hi! I'm glad you've told us.

  • I don't buy stuff. I haven't bought clothes in 5+ years (new or thrifted). I pirate epubs, games, shows, and movies. I don't have any monthly subscription--no Deezer, Netflix, AppleSomething, Amazon, nothing. I grow 90% of the veggies I eat, most of the fruit. I trade for meat and bread.I've never used Uber, UberEats, Doordash, AirB&B, or any of their competitors.I'm happy.

  • When it's hot enough, the blades start melting. As metal slowly drops, they get lighter on the inner edge (thinner part, melts faster), and start rotating because they're not balanced anymore.

  • Chez Mama is great, and it's only on the West coast.

    (Of France.)

  • "somebody who isn't me", in a tongue-in-cheek way.

  • Originaly a hot, dry wind in the Alps. Hence the brand name.

  • No. France's health insurance has many issues, but... I recently had to wait one whole month to get non-urgent jaw surgery at the top hospital in the country. Stayed for a week. It should cost me 50€ or so, including meds and post-op care.

  • I vote it be burnt.

  • 20k a year? That would be better that what you have now? Sincerly, a non-USAian

  • English to French. I actually spoke German quite well back then (and loved the language), and found English very meh, but I really wanted to study lit translation and at the time the only graduat program was in an English department... I switched tack, and nowI haven't used German in 25 years.
