  • Slight correction: Stalin never robbed a train. Georgia pre-1917 did not have many passenger trains (the Russian Empire did not industrialize its peripheral territories very well). Stalin did help in robbing a stagecoach full of money headed to a bank, though. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1907_Tiflis_bank_robbery

  • We need some Firefly emotes on Hexbear. Especially the combination of the USA-Chinese flag.

  • Woodrow Wilson was so racist that he was quoted in an epigraph for "The Birth of a Nation." You know, the 1915 movie about how awesome the KKK was, which became the first true "blockbuster" film and which led to a huge resurgence in KKK activity. Not only that, but Woodrow Wilson also personally invited the filmmakers to screen the movie in the White House - the first movie ever screened in the White House, by the way. Honorable mention!

  • As a person who was planning on starting a small business in an economically disadvantaged area for 3-5 years in the Mountain time zone which operates only on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I feel like the Kamala Harris campaign had some very good policies. But I can see how other people might disagree.

  • Even within the imperialist regime, I feel like there is intense debate about whether Israel should start a 2/3 front war. They are biting off more than they can chew. Surely some of the more level-headed American military members remember how badly America lost in war games against Iran. A full-scale Iranian war would cripple global oil supplies. It would clog the arteries of empire.

  • I really want to know who's in charge of US foreign policy right now. Is Blinken calling all the shots? Or is he still taking orders from Biden? Are they trying to start a regional war before Kamala comes in and gets rid of Blinken? Real liberal fascist infighting hours going on behind the scenes, I bet.

  • "Dollarize the economy."

  • I think you just discovered the plot for The Fast and the Furious 10.

  • BRB, hiring a coyote to smuggle a cool Chinese EV over the border to avoid tariffs.

  • Every $ donated to Ukraine gives them support and a better chance to end the war

Yes, just like every $ donated to Marianne Williamson helps her take one step closer to the presidency. Surely there are no institutional barriers preventing this from every realistically happening. Surely these elections, and the Ukraine war, are not just empty political theater meant to manufacture consent for the oligarch-owned military industrial complex.

  • Many leading French revolutionaries were abolitionists. They ended slavery in Haiti. But then Bonaparte launched a fascist counterrevolutionary coup and made slavery in Haiti legal again.

  • quantum mechanics literally revealed that the world is not loaded when you are not looking

I don't know where you got that info, but that is not at all what quantum mechanics says. If you want a deep dive into what quantum mechanics actually says, here's a good video series from PBS by a real physics professor that explains it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wxG5KMAFik&list=PLsPUh22kYmNCGaVGuGfKfJl-6RdHiCjo1&index=1

  • I'm not even sure MLK ever explicitly considered himself a socialist.

    Well then.

"I am much more socialistic in my economic theory than capitalistic." - Martin Luther King Jr.

"Today, capitalism has out-lived its usefulness." - Martin Luther King Jr.

"Call it democracy, or call it democratic socialism, but there must be a better distribution of wealth within this country." - Martin Luther King Jr.

"We must see now that the evils of racism, economic exploitation and militarism are all tied together." - Martin Luther King Jr.

"The evils of capitalism are as real as the evils of militarism and evils of racism." - Martin Luther King Jr.

"If America does not use her vast resources of wealth to end poverty and make it possible for all of God's children to have the basic necessities of life, she too will go to hell." - Martin Luther King Jr.

    (from https://www.commondreams.org/views/2019/01/21/11-most-anti-capitalist-quotes-martin-luther-king-jr)

It says a lot about the education system wherever you come from that you never learned MLK was a socialist. He HATED capitalism! Hated it! Also, the scientist Albert Einstein was a prominent socialist who wrote a famous article, "Why socialism?" explaining in detail why he was a socialist. Einstein and MLK believed in the same anti-capitalist struggle. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Why_Socialism%3F

  • I was answering his question, not trying to be hostile. I did not insult him at all. Just voicing my opinion.
