Whats your favorite smell and why?
Mine is lilacs, because there was a lilac bush at the bus stop that I used to wait at with my mom when I was a kid, it was my school bus stop and the public bus stop so we spent a lot of time on that corner and now when I smell lilacs I just immediately feel like a kid again.

I normally love Mac N Cheese but since you're wanting to cut carbs my second favorite is jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon, best on the grill but good in the oven too.

Now thats a game changer!

See, people think that me using butter is weird, but peanut butter sounds atrocious to me and multiple people have suggested it.

Yes. Not a whole bunch but it makes it like a creamy texture. Idk I been eating it that way since I was a kid. The mustard normally trips people out too, but when they try it they say its good.

I've never heard of using spam until today but a few people suggested it. I have cheap "spam" in the house so maybe I will try it.

I just had some of the new stuff today for the first time today, its still better than any alternative I tried while they were on shortage. I just finished my "real" stash up yesterday so I have a good base for a comparison. I did think it tasted a little different, but its definitely not bad.

This sounds bomb as fuck to me.

What is your favorite way to Jazz up cheap ramen?
I normally start with hot sauce, butter, and mustard in mine.

Exactly, thank you.

I agree, because I was the kid who didn't have any respect for a hypocritical parent.
My mom did a very good job at teaching me that respect is something that is earned and THEN she taught me to think independently and stand up for myself. These are all things she was supposed to do of course. However she followed that up with becoming an alcoholic and crack addict who would leave me alone all the time so she could go party for days. Then was absolutely flabbergasted when I showed her that same level of respect and didn't follow her rules anymore.
I was in counseling and anger management and truly believed I was the problem at the time, but looking back now that I'm in my 30's, what did she expect? She's the one that taught me not to take any shit, and then she started giving me shit.

Do you like to see how things work? I took my laptop apart once to replace the screen and it gave me so much anxiety, I was scared I wouldn't be able to put it back together again, but I did! It wasn't that hard.

One of my favorite things about this time of year is that I can finally sit outside with my laptop and work in my garden while watching the birds. Lots of times, deer will come around too if I am being quiet and still.

Doesn't Congress eventually have to pass it though?

This is like the $5,000 stimulus checks Elon talked about and that "concept of a plan" from 2016. He knows his base doesn't want to pay taxes, so if he references the possibility to get rid of them, they will keep holding on and later he can just blame the libs for it never happening.

Good.

The police hunted them all down, that had to be a hell of a day at work lol

This is so funny but also such a poor decision.

I'm good under pressure and I learn from my mistakes. Waiting until the last minute to get it right is exactly my style.

Like other people said, just keep coming back and participating. Lemmy is gaining users and lots of communities are very active. I'm rotting my brain very well around these parts.

You would have to explain the whole gig to every copy and I just don't think you could convince 1 million people who have memories of their friends and families and lifestyles to co-operate in starting a new society from scratch, they would just fight each other and bring back capitalism and probably blame whoever their political adversary is at the time for ending up on New Earth. Humans with Old Earth memories would be impossible to work with.
But Idk I maybe they fight for 20 years and decide they might as well give it a shot with the humans that are left and then your society starts, hard to really say. None of its ethical, thats for sure.

How would you run a society?
Aliens have come and kidnapped the first human they came across, unfortunately, that was you. They take you to a new planet almost identical to our current Earth, but without anything man-made.
The aliens say you can have 1 million real humans to start "New Earth" and you can put them anywhere and teach them anything you want. You'll have 1,000 years to make a good New Earth and if the Aliens like it, you'll get to keep it, if not they will blow it up and try again with someone else. You will have access to old Earths internet so you will have the choice on what technologies you introduce and when. You live in the ship, but you can choose to pop in and out of New Earth as you please. You will not be burdened with all 1 million humans at once. You can choose to add a small number of them at a time until you get the proper resources established.
Edit: The humans can reproduce, and will unless you implement some form of birth control to prevent them from doing so. Also the first 1 mi

If I snapped you back in time 650 years right this very second, how would you use your current knowledge to succeed?
Its the 14th century and you've had no time to prepare, after you're done reading this post you are snapped. What do you do?

If you could travel to any world while you were sleeping, which would you choose?
You go to bed tonight and a wizard comes to you in your dreams and tells you from this night on, you will be transported to 1 world from any piece of media you know, every single time you go to sleep.
That world will be just as real as this one, as in if you die there, you die IRL, you will still need to eat and use the bathroom. Time passes by a .5x speed in both places while you're sleeping so for every 8 hours you sleep you will spend 16 hours in the other world. When you go to bed in either world you are transported to the other one.

Whats getting on your nerves at the moment?
Anything really grinding your gears that you need to get off your chest? Lets talk about it.
