  • I'm no mod or anything, but with the post count so low I, as a mere reader, would not mind seeing HA items for sale here as long as it's hobbyists and not businesses.

You'd almost certainly want to employ some of the posting rules used in the r/XXXXsales subs. Things like prepend your title with For Sale, location and item description. It would also make some sense to declare in your ad some guidelines to ensure a smooth sale like PP invoice and/or some verifiable reference to your credibility (ie - Heatware/ebay ratings). There naturally needs to be some sort of assurances on both sides of the transaction.

I very much miss the r/homelabsales sub, but I am never going back.

  • A false story is pushed that Amazon will reveal tariff pricing. The government pushes back hard and threatens Amazon. Amazon backs down.

The truth is Amazon never planned on revealing anything at all. They are playing a role to help this asshole administration. This process serves as a warning to any other businesses that talk about revealing anything to do with tariff price increases and stifling the discussion.

This keeps a large block of the populace in the dark about the matter.

  • Hello fellow home labber! I have a home built xpenology box, proxmox server with a dozen vm’s, a hackentosh, and a workstation with 44 cores running linux. Oh, and a usb floppy drive. We are out here.

I also like long walks in Oblivion.

  • Name them. Bosch does this with some functions too. I bought the model below and didn’t care about delayed start or whatever. I am not loading your app!

I swear we need to start some appliance hacking clubs or something to sidestep this crap.

  • This appears to be Russian pressure for her to stay in line. If that is true, they'll have any number of ways to exert that pressure. I think they want this public for the rest of the embedded crew to stay the course.

  • Well, with general enshittification, Steam’s progress and W10 sunsetting maybe it will tick up the charts a bit more this year. I have laptops and home theater systems and have converted several in the last six months. Mostly Mint and EndeavorOS so far, but I’ll also load up Manjaro and Fedora on the last couple to see how I like them. Linux has come a long way.

A convoluted topic for sure. The NFL has resisted the issue for a long time and they still try to protect the brand. Players also want to play and will sometimes hide symptoms. Concussion numbers are still too high and solutions are evasive. Rules and even helmets have changed, but perhaps if soft-shell helmets (Great Gazoo style!) were used we'd see less concussed players. We would lose those sharp cracking sounds that exemplify the violence of the game, but less CTE and better player health is what we should absolutely be striving for.

Matt Ulrich, Super Bowl champion with Colts, dead at 41

Sad news. Way too young, but no cause of death listed as of yet. I feel for his family.
