  • Just gonna throw in a recommendation for Nobara as a distro. Based on Fedora, maintained by Glorious egroll who makes great versions of proton. Distro is tuned for gaming but is great for regular use too. Used it for over a year and set my GF up with it as her first Linux desktop.

  • Of course this is possible. Is it practical? Nope. There is already so much data harvested by the likes you Google and Facebook that they can tell what you like, what videos or articles you read, what you share, in some cases who you talk to. Importing a shit ton of audio data is pointless, they already know what you like.

  • I still think Starlink can be a great service for rural areas, but it seems they need to improve their capabilities first. Which in a way makes a chicken-egg scenario. If they expand servers to handle all those people, they should be eligible for a grant, but they don’t wanna do it until they get the grant.

  • Is something like Heroic launcher required now to play the Epic version of Rocket League? I have it on Steam and get 144FPS at 1440p, mixed settings between performance and quality.

  • It’s more that you talk like nobody else is against genocide. Nobody here wants genocide. Your “solution” is just a nothing burger. The reality is every government is pretty fucked up, some more than others. There’s no way to change the whole world order, so you try make it as less shit for as many people as possible, not just throw your hands up and say “I’m done with voting”.

  • This seems kinda scummy. If someone breaks TOS then ban the one account. I’ve seen for years now people bringing up jellyfin, knew it was coming when I saw this headline. I never tried it because I have iOS devices and an Apple TV, but now I see there are 3rd party apps for jellyfin on iOS/tvos. I may try it out, move if it satisfies my needs.
