CW HOMOPHOBIA: My mother said I was too young to be gay, and now I don't have the motivation to come out again.

Hello, The 4 people in my family who I was considering telling my truth have previously shown acceptance of LGBTQ+ people. They are my mother, father, grandpa (mother's side, probably the most vocal ally I know), grandma (father's side). I recently came out to my mother. She stated that I was too young to be gay, too young to know, and that she wasn't going to believe me until I was over the age of 18. I am in the middle of my teens, and I do not believe I am too young. I now find myself unable to come out to anyone else. It took so much effort to get the words out of my mouth and now I don't know how to tell anyone else. I'm sure, I'm praying, that if I tell her dad, or my dad, or his mum, they'll accept me. They'll make it all right. I don't know what to do. How can I tell someone.

  • I'm so sorry for what happened, and I've deleted both posts (at least on Beehaw for the other one). I didn't think of it the way you and Fracture showed it to me and I'm thankful that you shared your insight.

  • i didn't see it like that. I'm gonna delete that post, and I'm so sorry for that. Thank you. I understand that deleting it won't right my wrong, but I'm sincerely sorry.

Edit for a little note: I went to sleep after posting this, and I haven't checked Beehaw since. That's why I left it up for so long. Thank you though. Also, the post was a technical perspective on how the portals work in the game, not anything to do with it's content or the like. I haven't paid for the game either. So, I've deleted both posts and wanted to thank you for sharing this perspective.

  • Reddit did try this, they use downvotes as a way to prevent showing poorly written or short content, but they didn't properly explain it and so I feel that it probably wouldn't be able to be explained.

How Hogwarts Legacy does Portals is Interesting

    Quick Note

I do not support JK Rowling and do not support other people paying for the game. I did not, however I legally do not endorse that either. I also am completely unsure how this actually works, this is purely speculative based on my own limited in-game research.

What this is not going to be.

This is not taking a peek at the code behind the system. I am looking at how the system appears to work from a technology perspective.

    The Main Point

Hogwarts Legacy's portal system allows for engaging play if you do not test out the system properly, which is something they are semi-successful at preventing. You do not need any modifications to the game to test it out, and all my testing was done in the first instance of engaging with these portals.

    How it seems to work.

Let's say there is a portal accessible from both sides. One side acts as the teleport-er, and the other allows you to walk through without being teleported.

The side that you can teleport through provides a
