  • It’s not though. Even though we’d prefer a different candidate, everyone who isn’t a complete moron has at least agreed that we’re gonna stick with Biden because he’s better than the alternative and it’s not even close.

  • All yours (F4M)

  • Not just spam, but really shitty spam too. My Lemmy viewer of choice doesn’t even allow for the viewing of profiles, so I wouldn’t even know how to get to “her” page if I wanted to.

I consider this a good thing for multiple reasons.

  • I don’t think the world needs to be that black and white. You’re basically describing the opposite extreme to one where only boys can play with boys toys and only girls get the frilly pink stuff. Life should always been about compromise and meeting in the middle. I don’t think there’s inherently anything wrong with having something that is traditionally thought of as masculine or feminine. The problem arises when you have someone who doesn’t fit in that box and you force them to conform to that standard.

Plus, gender issues aside, there just aren’t that many kids who would be equally exited to get a doll as they would to get a toy truck. Kids have preferences. And preferring one type of toy over another isn’t always going to be because someone forced them to like it, it could just be that they legitimately like them more.

  • Yes and no. On the one hand, it would be bad to say something like, this is a doll and girls and only girls can play with it, and this is a tractor and it’s only for the boys. At the same time, it would be nice to have some sort of idea if you’re getting a “traditional girl toy” or one aimed at more masculine thought of activities. I don’t know how you would separate those into categories without assigning gender to them though even though that’s outdated by today’s standards. Maybe something like putting “doll” or “truck” or “sports” or something and let people choose from those regardless of their gender identity.

  • How devoid of value is your life that you let a couple of meaningless downvotes get you this bent out of shape?

I will give you credit for creativity for somehow claiming victory because you managed to let so many people piss you off so many times.

Can you whine about it some more though, this is oh so much fun!

  • Ah, now you’ve got me in a dilemma. On the one hand, I’d love to never spend another second of my life dealing with your idiocy, but on the other hand it’s so much fun (and really fuckin easy) to piss off someone as dumb as you are by just typing a couple of words.

    Decisions, decisions.

  • I know I’m probably in the minority, but I’ve easily spent over $500, probably closer to $1000 on PSVR2 games, and I’ve played it almost every single day for the last year. I’ve never had VR before this, and I really enjoy mine. Before the VR2, My PS5 was mostly unused, and now I’m actually getting my money’s worth from it.

Can we please chill with the "This is an old post from some other site" titles and actually use something descriptive about the meme itself?

Really getting tired of seeing references to everything here being a repost from Reddit. We get it, this place needs content and posting old stuff is a quick and easy way to do that. Maybe you don’t need to point that out in the title of every single post you make?

Some clients don't show the links that the bot is posting properly

So I replied to a comment in a thread the bot posted over in one of the television communities, but I noticed tonight when I was viewing that community in Memmy all of the threads the bot was posting appeared to be empty. Just the title, and the info about where the original post came from and who posted it, but otherwise, pretty useless. I wondered if it was a mistake from the bot or the client I was using, so I tried it over on wefwef, and I saw the links there.

So I guess I don’t know if there’s a bug in how Memmy displays the content, or a bug with how the bot posts, or if it’s just an inconsistency or whatever, but I thought someone might want to know to make some changes.
