Hi, it's me, I'm the problem it's me

One of the reasons why I went with Motorola, after being in the Samsung ecosystem for the last 15 years.
In the before times, we used to go to an independent movie theater. It had living room seating - big comfy chairs, waiter service for food and drinks before the show, no minors. Then they decided to try and go public, and AMC did a hostile takeover and they went to shit.
Now the only time I go to a theater, it's the local art house single screen showing limited release and indy films.
If you won't let tariffs and annexation threats deter you, let the threat of kidnap, deportation, torture, and murder deter you.
One time we were babysitting my little cousin. We had a rabbit roaming in the kitchen, and cousin was eating breakfast. Next thing, I hear him saying "that's not a raisin!"
I've only read the first part of the Hidden series by Tiffany Shearn, but I really liked it. I'm planning to pick up the rest of the series at the Ren fair she attends this year.
We were getting new phones, and decided to go with the Motorola Moto G. It has an SD card slot, headphone jack, and doesn't advertise around having ai built in. Great battery life too.
City governments love HOAs, because they can push the responsibility for utilities and public services onto the hoa. The city supplies water to the hoa with a single bill, the hoa bills the residents. Privatized trash and recycling pickup. Maybe even an electrical substation. Hoa builds and maintains the roads and parks.
The city gets the benefits of property tax payments without the costs of infrastructure.
I haven't watched it, but as a former emt I can tell you that any show that resembled an actual er would be boring as hell.
Episodes 1 through 5: dealing with 3 sore throats, 4 general malaise, 1 stubbed toe, none of whom needed the er and probably didn't even need a doctor.
Episode 6: an actual emergency!
Episodes 7 through 15: don't even need to film them, just run repeats from the first half of the season.
I love being in a twink!
The caterpillar of the pink underwing moth, for anyone else wondering
I'm also a middle child. My parents wanted a boy and a girl. They got my older brother, then got me (amab), so they adopted my younger sister.
A herpetoligist collects reptiles. Someone who collects herpes is called your mom.
I'll grab my toque while you grab the Timmy's and I'll meet you at the snow machines, ya hozer!
Or something like that. I grew up a yooper.
Sorry, I can't read good
Use the hose to spray it onto the balcony under me. It's dog shit all the way down.
Become the void you want to see in the world

No, but lense filters and post processing can make photos look more realistic than real life

Family location sharing
My family has been using the Google Maps location sharing feature for a while. My partner is able to see if I'm running late, I can tell where my sister is when we travel together.
I would like to find a way to continue sharing my location with my family, without sharing it with Google. Are there any apps for this?

Can't seem to boot a linux installer
I have an older desktop (circa 2010) that I'm trying to repurpose into a small game server and NAS. It doesn't have UEFI. I've tried booting from USB and from DVD. I can get into the BIOS boot menu and select the device to boot from, but after I select it just goes to a blank screen.
I'm using the onboard AMD GPU. This is a fresh hard drive. I've tried the boot media on my laptop and it boots fine. I've put the old Windows 7 SSD back into the desktop and it boots fine. I've tried different images: Fedora Silverblue, Antix x64, Antix 386. Everything is giving the same results.
Can you recommend any other troubleshooting tips?

Antenna Recommendations
I'm looking for some advice about selecting an antenna. I live in an apartment, so I can't install anything permanent and can't anchor anything to the house. There is a small backyard about 30ftx30ft, some arborvitaes but no strong trees. My radio is on the second floor. There are also two-story houses behind and on either side. I am currently a technician, planning to upgrade to general in the next few months. Right now I'm mostly interested in 10m and 20m, would also like 2m to reach my local repeater. I plan to use SSB and digital modes. Some possible options I've come up with: using a stand like this https://www.dxengineering.com/parts/wmo-18320 with a mast to put up an inverted V, but I haven't done the measurements and math to see what the angle would be; my initial instinct is that it's too sharp of an angle to be effective. I also looked at this https://www.dxengineering.com/parts/dxc-expedition or https://www.dxengineering.com/parts/but-hf9v, but I don't have good line-of-sigh
