  • I personally know people that think sbarro (and Olive Garden as a proxy) is on par with “other pizza” as its own thing. Those people recognize it’s not “real pizza”; they just like it for what it is.

  • For the same reason there’s a TGI Friday in time square. McDonald’s. Olive Garden. It’s there for the tourists that rather have their slop.

  • Circumcised at age 9 here. Restoring with non surgical and eventually surgical methods, here. The difference in sensation is absolutely real. You can’t ask how sensation is right after healing, you have to ask a a year or more later when keratin has built up. It’s a huge difference.

  • Electric? Nothing under 20k that’s new. We had a Chevy Bolt on the market at 28k, but it’s discontinued now.

  • Even if it were 1000kg, that’s still way below what a truck would want to tow though.

  • I struggle to understand the point of a truck that can only tow 500kg… that and such awful range. If the range were doubled this would be a great deal, but as is it’s just dead in the water.

  • Sadly, Yasser Arafat refusing to take Clinton’s deal didn’t help things either. Israel/Palestine is absolutely, ultimately the fault of the British

  • Unfortunately, my father is exactly this individual, and he's serious. He wants nothing more than to see other people suffer, even if he has to himself suffer (as long as his suffering is less than theirs, because otherwise that would be unfair 🤷🏽‍♂️).

  • I remember seeing a clip a long time ago of someone asking Gates how much a box of rice-a-roni is and he was like… 5$?

    Found it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ad_higXixRA

  • Unimpressive men who have exhausted all other ways to gain social status except by force, resort to forcibly gaining status.

  • Harris won nowhere near 90% of NYC. The city itself voted 68/30 for Harris/Trump. Manhattan hit 80% as the “bluest” borough. Staten Island and Hasidic Brooklyn voted overwhelmingly for Trump.

  • So quick question: why do people insist on using a straw? I refuse one at any chance I get offered one because I rather drink out of a cup like an adult.

  • on Notion: aren't the desktop clients just electron apps anyway? The website is really solid from my useage.

  • KDE Connect was rock solid when I was testing it out with an S24u. The only real issue I had with it was that it was missing RCS (RCS is locked down to only proprietary google messages/iMessage systems) and a seamless way to go from desktop notification to SCRCPY/screen mirroring.

  • No bullshit, sexual function is an incredibly accurate indicator of cardiovascular health, and good mental health. Get checked, change your diet, take walks while you consume media on your phone, work up to a regular gym routine. Yes you can do it at any age. No it does not work overnight. Yes it’s a pain in the ass. It works though 🙂

  • I applied, wasn’t accepted ☹️ they’re looking for PhD level, not BS/MS

  • Considering he has a notepad and pen out, I’m guessing he’s a translator.

  • I think the biggest draw to Synology now is the ultra low power consumption. Yeah, you could totally repurpose an old PC, but it’s crazy to run 500W perpetually. The reason they use old Celeron processors is the low power draw. In time, hopefully, RISC V can produce some low cost systems that would slot in well for this use case.

    MacOS -> Linux: PastePal replacement

    apps.apple.com ‎Clipboard Manager - PastePal

    ‎PastePal is a native application written in pure Swift that allows complete control over your clipboard history. The app is universal and available across Mac, iPhone and iPad devices. You can manually enable iCloud Sync in Settings and all data will be securely synced across devices Many feature...

    ‎Clipboard Manager - PastePal

    Back again with another question thread looking for alternatives for my two most important apps that'll make me switch to Linux+Android:

    Is there anything like PastePal on Linux with an Android app? The biggest thing about PastePal is that it lets me create a catalogue of text/images snippets that I can call up at any time on MacOS with CMD + Shift + V

    The best part about it is that on iOS, I can use their custom keyboard and paste anything from my snippets library from the keyboard in places that don't usually allow you to paste text.

    The app will sync everything I've copied on my Mac and make it available on my phone/iPad via either the app snippet library or the keyboard.

    This is probably functionality that would be right up KDE Connect's alley to implement if it doesn't already exist.

    MacOS -> Linux: BetterTouchTool replacement

    I'm still trying to get myself over to linux, and I'm having a hard time finding a replacement for BetterTouchTool. Essentially, the app lets you customize multitouch trackpad gestures per-app and system wide with single to 5 finger support.

    Cyst popping videos?

    I'm one of those degenerates that enjoy cyst popping videos, and my sources have all dried up at this point: I was lurking on r/popping_curated and popthatzit before that. I bet the majority of them are on TikTok now, but I don't want to make an account there just for this lol.

    Place to ask experts/experienced about cGPT?

    I’m wondering how I can use cGPT in a particular usecase and if so how can I go about feeding training data to it?

    Whati am trying to accomplish: I want to be able to supply cGPT with a music file (.ogg or .mp3) and get an accuracy of .001 BPM as to what the BPM of a song is. Huge bonus points if it can also print out at which second (down to .001 sec) where a BPM would change in a song.
