  • The meme is saying to make black and white judgements about any image you see, and disregard it completely depending on what was used to create it. It's closer to hate then encouragement imo.

  • I think a lot of us mods feel that AI should be allowed so long as it is not low quality and serves some purpose

Pretty much sums up my view of it. It's a shame it's vilified since it's good at making short comics and memes. I'd also rather original ai content then reposts personally.

I can understand certain subs being against it, like traditional art subs and subs relating to shows where movie stills are preferred (the star trek ones for instance). But in the end, this is a meme sub.

That being said, it's seriously polarizing and every post with even a hint of AI turns into a fight. Tagging is at least a small compromise but I don't think it will do much without filtering. Maybe an option would be to ask users who wish to post AI content to use an alt classified as a bot, so users can filter it that way while we wait for a proper flair system.

  • ChatGPT can receive the users general location. Its like a tool, the model needs to ask to receive it.

It's still quite impressive since it narrowed it down to my county using the trees and general geographical feel (there was a small mountain chain in the background), but it's clear when it actually receives the location information in the last reasoning step.

  • The laws that apply to a person's likeness in your example don't apply to an art style.

Currently, it isn't clear if consent is required for style. It's highly transformative but we will only know after the lawsuits are finished and any new law is put in place. Depends on location as well I'm guessing.

  • It's basically fanart being banned but worse, and everybody is cheering for the copyright industry winning and censoring us again.

I wonder if we'll run out of styles in a few years or if it will only apply to the ones with lawyers and lots of money behind them.

  • 100%. I don't share the persons views, I just think OP is wrong for jumping straight to calling him Hitler in our current climate, where the state of Israel labels any criticism towards it the same way.

  • I wouldn't exactly call any reservist currently occupying Ukrainian land a civilian. It's a tough subject and there are valid points on each side.

That being said, it's not antisemitic to view idf and ex-idf currently occupying palestinian land as valid targets.

If you want to talk about if it's moral, follow the link and argue with him. I'm talking about the "if you are critical of the state of israel, you are a nazi" aspect.

  • Yes all occupiers are valid military targets

I said soldiers occupying Palestine. Not "Jews across the world".

No I very clearly said IDF soldiers.

Unless these soldiers decide to leave occupied Palestine they are not ex-soldiers because they are actively occupying and can be summoned for combat.

He isnt saying "kill all israelis".

  • to say everyone not willing to take whatever punishment is out there for refusing is fair game to kill pretty far out there to me.

Currently, it's 100 days in prison from a quick google search.

So yes, anyone willing to commit genocide instead of spending 100 days in prison is absolutely fair game.

That's also how these things usually work. I'm certain the percentage of soldiers in the Russian army that actually want to be there is very low, and they have to deal with a lot more then just 100 days in prison if they refuse. They must be mowed down regardless.

  • Lmao, try to make the same argument for anything else. "I don't want people to paint. Most are seriously bad at it and I don't want my feeds filled with their ugly artwork. Ive already seen that style anyways."

You don't even know why you don't like it, you're just doing what you've been told to do. Jfc.

  • The comment right before and after this exchange makes it clear he is specifically talking about IDF troops. Because of how Israel's military is structured, this means a good portion of the state is included.

You are spouting a known zionist talking point: "The IDF = every single Jew on the planet."

I personally wouldn't include reservists in the count, since they would need to be called for active duty and accept to be in the genocidal camp imo. That being said, jumping straight to antisemitism isn't valid.

Israeli forces strapped explosives around the neck of an elderly Palestinian man in Gaza and forced him to act as a human shield before killing him and his wife, an investigation by the Israeli news website HaMakom has revealed.

An Israeli soldier told HaMakom that after explosives were placed around the Palestinian man's neck, he was told "that if he does something wrong or not the way we want, the person behind him will pull the rope and his head will detach from the body."

"That's how he walked around with us for eight hours, even though he's an 80-year-old man and even though he couldn't run away from us. And that's knowing that there's a soldier behind him who can pull the rope at any second – and he's done," the soldier added.

According to HaMakom, after the elderly Palestinian was forced to enter homes and tunnel allegedly used by Hamas, the soldiers ordered him and his wife to leave the area for al-Mawasi, a small area that at the time was just 1km wide and was being used to
