  • Ok, fine then. Jon files a restraining order on Lois and cuts all contact with her.

  • is a normal reaction to this sort of thing

He has to protect his identity and if he needs to kill her to do that then so be it.

  • It's like when dumb characters do dumb shit in movies to the point where they are so dumb you want to see them die.

Lois Lane telling her son, who she just found out is a superhero and threatened to expose his identity, has her death coming.

She should know her dying is a possibility.

    1. Lois Lane should have minded her own business.

    2. She's dumb enough to say, "I will expose you." She knows Jon killing her is a very strong possibility…….

Even if Jon didn't do it, one of his friends would.

  • I find it super concerning you think it’s okay fir Jonathan to threaten to kill his mother

Lois literally threatened to reveal Jon's secret to the world or to his father.

Her life is forfeit at that point.

    Fuck around and find out.

Jon should kill her, and if she dies, she died because of her own stupidity.

  • Anthropic's Claude AI @lemmy.world

Claude AI is truly the dumbest fucking AI I have ever come across.

  • Why?

  • Off My Chest @lemmy.world

Can we agree most wealthy people tend to date other wealthy people or people from upper-class backgrounds?

  • Dating @lemmy.world

Can we agree most wealthy people tend to date other wealthy people or people from upper-class backgrounds?

  • You said you don’t talk to people you’re not attracted to.

Yeah cause what's the point? What do I get out of it?

" Non-terrible people don’t decide whether to talk to someone solely based on attraction."

The person I was responding to said, "You aren't mature enough to ask a retail worker out," which is weird, creepy and kind of predatory considering they don't know me and have never met me…

But sure, I'm the "terrible person".

  • Look man some people, like me, are just bad at staying in touch

If you don't text your "friend", then you are objectively not a friend; you are an "acquaintance" at worst.

  • It's a trend from a while ago; women were asking men, "If your daughter were stranded in the wilderness, would you rather her be near a bear or a man?"

  • Showerthoughts @lemmy.world

Being a penny stock trader must suck.

  • When a parent denies their underage child, with a brain that is still developing, hard drugs I think that is appropriate parenting

I am "pro-choice" with anything as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else (but you). From my skin inwards is my total jurisdiction; it was JONATHAN'S BODY. Not Clark, not Lois. If Jon wants to inhale an alien space narcotic or snort cocaine, that should be his right.

Again Clark and Lois violated Jonathan's autonomy, and that was wrong, especially for Superman, who stands for "humans having free will", and Lois Lane, a woman who worked her way up in a male-dominated environment and who fights for "truth and justice".

Also, it's just bad writing because Superman should have better things to do than whine and complain about how his son, who doesn't even have powers at the time, is taking an illegal drug. Big fucking whoop.

  • Showerthoughts @lemmy.world

“My body, my choice” should apply to drug use, too.

  • Showerthoughts @lemmy.world

Tyler Robinson and Luigi Mangione are a glaring example of how attractive people get treated against ones who are not attractive

  • Showerthoughts @lemmy.world

If Luigi Mangione is considered a "hero", then Punisher, Dexter Morgan and Jigsaw should be considered "heroes" too.

  • youre just a terrible human

    *You're

Also, how does this make me a "terrible human"? Because I don't go out of my way to be friendly, that makes me "terrible".

  • Here’s a showerthought: everyone complaining about Grimreaper has the option to block them and never see their posts, but they don’t do that because Grimreaper entertains them. Thus proving Grimreaper’s point,

Fucking Thank you!!! LMAO These people could just block me.

  • Showerthoughts @lemmy.world

If your 'friends' don't text you, then they aren't your friends.

  • Showerthoughts @lemmy.world

Most people who help others are doing it as a performance

  • when Peter Parker said “I missed the part where that’s my problem”, that was meant to be a bad thing

But it's not a "bad thing". Some things are objectively not your problem just because you CAN help someone in need doesn't mean you HAVE to, and it doesn't make you a "bad person".

Let's be real: most people don't help others in need even when they are able to. People who donate to St Jude Children's Research Hospital or volunteer with homeless people do so for performative reasons or to just look good in front of someone; in the end, they are doing so for their own self-interest.

  • Showerthoughts @lemmy.world

Choosing to not to help your friends dying child doesn't make you an asshole

  • you dont understand body language

I do understand body language, which is why I walked away…

If I'm not attracted to a person, I genuinely don't talk to them or respond to people talking to me.

  • If someone is 25 and still working retail its a red flag for me.

I feel like most 25 year old working in retail are doing it while they are in college studying for something (law, med, business whatever)

  • Showerthoughts @lemmy.world

When upper-class wealthy people don't want to date anyone lower, working, middle class people will claim "classism", but when middle-class or "normal"retail worker or janitor, no one has an issue.

  • Dating @lemmy.world

Never ever date a retail worker

  • superheroes are terrible because they lie to hide their identity.

I never said superheroes are terrible for hiding their identity. I said I think Clark and Lois from Superman and Lois are self-righteous hypocrites because they lie to protect Clark's secret, but then they expect honesty from Jonathan and Jordan. If they are ok with lying, then they shouldn't get mad when Jon and Jordan blatantly lie to their face.

  • Off My Chest @lemmy.world

Parents who knowingly send their kid to a place where they get bullied and do nothing about it are at fault and are the worst types of people.

  • If you go to a Walmart, Target or any store regularly, EVEN if you are acquainted with some of the employees, it’s impossible to ask them out in general. Even if we take romance out of it and just want a friend, it’s damn near impossible.

  • not one of “those guys.”

"Those guys" are animalistic incels who can't take no for an answer.

  • Good on you for becoming self aware

I'm always self-aware and can read body language, and I don't take rejection very personally; I just walk away. If I continue going to this Walmart, I'll wave to her, but I probably won't speak to her unless she initiates it.

That and I try to talk to women like I would literally anyone else. Granted, I'm obviously more nervous when I talk to a woman I'm attracted to, but I don't use pickup lines or "play the game"; I usually talk to them like a normal person.
