  • Just a home lab for fun and experimenting.

  • Excellent suggestion! Thank you!

  • Thanks! I didn't even think about running a local app, but this may be a fun find to experiment with!

  • That's a great idea! Thanks! I've got unbound running locally on one instance of Pihole, and I've got it in a LXC for the other instance. Using the configs to pull from git would make that much easier to sync.

  • Thanks! I'll take a look at those!

  • Huh. Good tip! I'll have to test this out.

  • I have a "main" Pihole on a Raspberry Pi, and I set up another instance in a VM for secondary functions.

Figured out the IO pressure: Just sharing into the void

  • I’m hoping it’s resolved before I get off work!

  • This is so cool! I want to look up when it was added when I’m back at a full sized interface.

  • You know what they say, “in for a penny, in for a pound.” Might as well get your time’s worth out of your prison sentence.

  • Is this an alphabet or a bingo card?

  • No matter how bad I think humans are, I’m presented evidence we’re even worse than I thought.

  • Big fan of the Mouse.

  • “Scrubs” or “cleanses?” I’m pretty confident I know which word Hitler Jr. would use.

  • If you’re getting something for free, you aren’t the consumer, you are the product. Open Source projects (free as in speech) need some way to pay for the beer (not free). Enshittification is accelerating the conversion of services that have some form of free tier into more aggressively finding ways to monetize those users. Even services you pay for are selling your data, to make sure they can get maximum juice.

  • I would guess the line between the two groups is about one plank wide.

  • Well, the dismantling of the NOAA, the lack of local regulations on construction and zoning, the lack of land management policies, the lack of education and preparedness all seem to disproportionately affect Republican voting communities. This is a failure of the blueprint.

Sure, go ahead and put words in my mouth. Ad hominem is always in fashion. Those kids would be alive if their parents and communities did their job as part of a society or civilization.

  • Save the attempt at guilt for the tears of the living, not the potential of the lost. The focus should be on those accountable, not the people who bear a burden no longer.
