Afaik, lemmy.ml never gave a reason as to why they defederated with us. Which is obviously fair, they are their own instance, and can make that decision. However, it most likely has to do with their strict "no porn" rule, since if members want to upload or view content from lemmynsfw.com, their servers would have to handle that and a lot of instance admins don't like the thought of having to manage explicit/sensitive content like what we have.

Unfortunately not, you can't view NSFW content on lemmy by default if you're not logged in which sucks for nsfw oriented instances like us.
But it looks like there's a comment with some communities you can join here so click on one of those links and paste the URL of the community in the search box lemmynsfw.com/communities, so Lemmy NSFW can load it in. Wait a bit, then try searching the name of the comm. You should be able to post/view it normally.
Edit: try searching for it first in lemmy nsfw's community page before, as someone might have already loaded it in.

Also, people can block communities that they don't want to see at all. So it ultimately shouldn't really matter.
