  • This literally goes against the very underpinnings of communism...

From each according to his ability, to each according to his need

    I. Nothing in society will belong to anyone, either as a personal possession or as capital goods, except the things for which the person has immediate use, for either his needs, his pleasures, or his daily work.

II. Every citizen will be a public man, sustained by, supported by, and occupied at the public expense.

III. Every citizen will make his particular contribution to the activities of the community according to his capacity, his talent and his age; it is on this basis that his duties will be determined, in conformity with the distributive laws.

  • The argument is right there in the article.

But Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez never indict capitalism as a system or call for a struggle against it. And they supported and hailed the Biden administration even as it was presiding over the greatest-ever accumulation of wealth on the part of the financial aristocracy.

For all their fulminations against the oligarchy, they carefully avoid advancing any demand that would deprive the billionaires of their ill-gotten riches. They pretend that society can be changed without a drastic redistribution of wealth, which requires the expropriation of the billionaires.

Tldr: critiquing the system only insofar as to not question capitalism.

  • VP already has the same requirements as president in the main body of the Constitution.

Show me how this keeps Trump from being allowed to succeed into POTUS. Yall are backpedalling because you've never actually read the Constitution.

The 22nd amendment prohibits Trump from doing this

    No it doesn't

well sure, but the "main body" (the articles...) does

  • But the clear intent is to..

And there's the rub. You have an extremely weak and vague Constitution that everyone has so far just agreed to follow with a wink wink, nod nod. Once the first demagogue showed up, that shit went out the window.

  • What are you talking about? The amendment makes no mention of VP or succession.

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of President more than once. But this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this Article was proposed by Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years from the date of its submission to the States by the Congress.

  • An extremely vague and weak document that everyone has just sort of wink wink nod nodded about following earnestly? A document that the two parties have hitherto tactitly agreed not to abuse in the name of precedent and civility? A document that is so flimsy it gets thrown out the window once a demagogue gets elected? One that specifically enshrines the right to enslave people(I know of no other constitution with such a stipulation)?

“No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.”

Even a dumbass like me can see one of the many weakness here. Trump can become president without being elected if he, as VP, succeeds someone to assume the position of POTUS.

  • You can repeat "smoke and mirrors" as many times as you want. Doesn't change that the two cops treated me VERY differently. Doesn't change that one cop gave me an assurance of a plea deal when the other one basically told me I'd be locked up forever. Doesn't change that one slammed my face into the table when the other got me cool glass of water. Doesn't change that one lied about my actions and assumed my guilt, and the other took the time to hear me out on my story.

There are so many examples of the cops not treating me the same that there's no other way to look at your opinion than as ignorant to the extreme.

  • Same. I had to look it up. In doing my deep research, I learned that they used an EKG on Jonny P II to confirm his expiration. That shit's hilarious. It was someone's job to EKG that OBVIOUSLY dead corpse, lol.

  • Stop elevating that woman. In her 27 years, she only hired a single black clerk. Her refusal to step down in ailing health ensured the republicans got a SCOTUS pick. A stubborn, racist geriatric clinging onto the power of the democratic party - only to lose it all and shit on your entire legacy: where have I heard this one before?

Never trust an official of the United States of Amerikkka.

  • Nah dog, the presence of people with intention to tow somehow gives credence to this test, and all other towing tests in general, it seems.

*drops a pallet of bricks on a Tonka truck

"Well, people have things to tow, so this test is valid."

  • Engineering explained:

Final question: should cybertruck customers be concerned about towing at capacity with a tesla cybertruck? To be honest - I don't know.

This was a junk test that meant nothing. EE is putting that politely. EE actually invokes real engineering.

  • Not sure why you're getting down voted. If people here actually watched the video alluded to in the OP, theyd realize your point is spot on.

I'm an automotive engineer and I work at a proving ground. This sort of "lets just strap an excavator to single sample and start torturing it in an extremely atypical way!" is exactly the sort of dealership, bunk "engineering" that muddies the waters. For starters, comparing a body on frame dodge pickup to the unibody cyberyruck is unfair as hell. That comparison means nothing. At the minimum, compare to another unibody pickup. He glosses over dynamic vs static loads, makes huge hand waves about tongue forces you'd expect, and does almost no math.

Minor nitpick: not sure why Jerry rig everything wasn't using their 950 loader to load down the back of the cybertruck. Take off those forks, and you'd get 20k lbs on that hitch, easy. I suppose they may have not had a 950 bucket available.

This test doesn't really say much, and OPs video corroborates. There are so, SO many reasons to shit on cyberyrucks, but a video showing tongue weight going 9x over the safety factor isn't really a knock against it. It's fairly impressive, tbh.

Easiest way to automate a VPN refresh?

On my truenas scale machine, I have a container for gluetun and one for qbittorrent (among others). Maybe a couple times a week, I notice that the VPN connection gets flakey. Qbittorrent speeds go down into the kb/s range. This promps me to carry out an annoying, manual process:

    1. I pause all torrents in qbittorrent webui
    2. I stop both the qbit and gluetun containers
    3. I start the gluetun container
    4. I give the gluetun container adequate time to connect (since the qbit container depends on the gluetun network, attempting to start both at the same time yields an error on the qbit side)
    5. I start the qbit container
    6. I resume all torrents in the qbittorrent webui

Is there any easy way to automate this process? Preferably one that doesn't require me to learn ansible? I'm hoping the solution could all be done via portainer - which I use.

    Thank you in advance.
