  • You don't need all that much RAM to be honest. You don't need to use two of them at the same time either to compartmentalise your life. And my second paragraph covers the case that you'd prefer if you don't wanna compartmentalise.

  • fuck this

  • What alternative did Bernie Sanders support? The same fucking guys that beat up American students protesting. And we saw how ready the Democrats were towards criticism when Kamala said "I'm speaking".

The supposed "far more ready to crticize bullshit" LMAO. In practise, regardless of what each claims, Democrats and Republicans are two wings of the same party.

  • fuck this

  • Lmao look at all the downvotes you got for being right. If a Democrat was in power right now and did the exact same things that Trump is doing right now, the liberals that are (rightfully) criticising Trump so much would defend the Democrat with their lives.

  • Oh also, Ladybird Browser, is being developed. It is not based off of Mozilla Firefox or Google Chromium or Safari. They're building their own browser independently without getting any code from other browsers. The Alpha release is planned to come out on 2026.

  • I somehow missed reading about the part about syncing. Pretty sure LibreWolf and IronFox does allow that as well, you need to enable it somewhere in the settings and log into your Mozilla account I guess.

  • Depends on your specific case, but IMO in order of preference for deskop, Tor Browser as much as possible, followed by Mullvad Browser as much as you can, for scenarios where you cannot use Tor Browser, followed by LibreWolf for the few sites that require persistent logins (you'll need to enable setting cookies for those specific sites). There's also other Firefox forks like GNU IceCat (unofficial binary for it), Floorp and Zen Browser.

For a less complicated alternative, just swap out Firefox with LibreWolf. Just make sure to read the ENTIRE docs to save yourself from any nasty surprises. Especially about RFP (Resist Fingerprinting), WebGL, Canvas, etc.

On Andriod, again, there's Tor Browser, IronFox, Fennec F-Driod. Additionally if you want a browser based on a different engine, there's Cromite, which is based off of Chromium, but it's probably better to stay with a less commonly used engine like Firefox rather than keep using the mainstream monopoly of Google.

As an aside, this video helped me understand some stuff better and it seems to be less of Mozilla being untrustworthy and more about them being total losers in communication. I recommend checking it out.

  • Ah, they seem more right than I would've preferred them to be. If they were at least INC voters or anything, you could probably point out that their manifesto had some stuff about protecting LGBT persons, and that could've probably given some validity.

And yeah, the issue with your extended family also makes sense, even my family does not let me do a lot of stuff simply because of what they think my extended family, the neighbours and the rest of society would think.

I guess you probably would have to take the same steps as how you'd radicalise a liberal. Constantly talking to your parents about these issues over a period of a few years and nudging them towards doing research on these topics and realising that this is normal and that there are treatments that would help deal with dysphoria. It's gonna be very hard but that's the only method that I can think of right now, rather than going full hard on to it.

Also, I remember reading like three years ago that conversion therapy was made illegal in India. I do know that the laws that exist on paper does not correlate very neatly in practise, but if the need arises, it might be a helpful info to have so that you could protect yourself or anything.

  • That's alright OP. Take your time till you feel comfortable. Maybe you could slightly hint at the topic and see how they react. If you live in a city, there probably has been some Pride March, you could somehow bring it up and see their reaction. And if you've built enough trust with them, you could slowly open up and hope that it goes well.

Also the chances of them being more accepting and liberal to this is higher if their normal politics are leftward I think. Maybe you could have a discussion with them about reservations or affirmative action, social welfare, minimum wage, the whole 70-hour and 90-hour workweek discussion thing going on in India (assuming that y'all live in India or are caught up with the trending stuff). I'm not sure how reliable this is, but better to have some sort of baseline to work off of rather than nothing.

And if they're the conservative Hindu nationalist kind of people, then you could do some research and mention about the instances of non-heteronormative in the religion, and also how Indian society was pretty accepting of Queer people until the British came made their existence illegal, and you can make homophobia seem like a weird outsider Western concept that is anti-Indian and was imposed onto Indians maybe.

    All the best!

  • Oh wow Steven Wilson is a fucking zionist? Holy shit that is actually surprising. I enjoy his work a lot. I'm not the kind to have anything for popular figures, but his stuff has really helped me through some of my low times. It's disappointing. Thanks for letting me know.

  • Leftist means left-wing politics, which means anti-capitalism. Liberals are not anti-capitalist in any sense, hence they cannot be left, they are on the right, which is capitalist politics. Leftism would include leftists like socialist, communists, anarchists, socdems and even revisionists that might that believe that socialism is the path to go, but through electoral reforms. Liberals, support capitalism, and they CANNOT be on the left.

  • Unironically yes, considering that after 15 months of Biden letting the war go on a ceasefire came when Trump took power.

If the Democrats were really passionate about winning, maybe they should have listened to their voter base for once, instead of alienating them. The Dems blame everybody but themselves for their loss and it's disgusting.
