Easier to use imo. TrueNAS would be better, but takes more time to learn how to use.
You could but a NAS, or build one and install unraid on it. It should take a day or so of tinkering to get it working, and you could always sync your data to a cloud backup provider.
I've been working on my 3D printed Mini Macro Pad for a couple years now, slowly making improvements over time.
Nice! All you need for the software on the device is to send 1,2,3,etc over serial.
If you have issues getting setup, pls create an issue on GitHub and I'll try to help.
Glad to hear that! Are you planning on using it with a physical device? I want to make a guide on doing that eventually.
Oh I didn't know about that, I've been working on this over a couple years now.
I think that hardware could still work with my code, but I just wanted to share what I've done.

I've been working on Creeping Death. It took a month or so but I finally can play the rhythm at full speed.

I used Hugo for my portfolio site, and it's great if you like an existing theme, but making one from scratch is a challenge. The documentation is unclear and there's a chicken and egg problem about how to learn Hugo.
The go templating is OK, I prefer other syntax but it works.
Seconded, being able to use different sized drives is nice.
Pop OS is the best thing to do for lunch and I have a good time.

UnRAID uses Slackware under the hood, I've had lots of trouble trying to use the shell and install packages and init scripts. I wish it was Debian based instead so my knowledge would transfer.

When scrolling Lemmy (compared to reddit in the past), all I see is doom and gloom / news. I don't see interesting conversations or comments to read.
Occasionally I'll find something, and I've been contributing more, but there's just so much doom that it fills my feed.
I've had to unsubscribe from many communities bc it's just doom news reposts..

Open Source Macro Pad driver software written in golang
What is an average person living in the US supposed to do about corporations raising prices?
They keep raising prices, stating that it's due to inflation, but then they keep having record profits.
Meanwhile, the average American can barely afford rent or food nowadays.
What are we to do? Vote? I have been but that doesn't seem to do much since I'm just voting for a representative that makes the actual decisions.
