  • Thats exactly my point, Its now a kind of "premium" activity. It cost one adult and one child who had fast food afterwards $100. If you're out on a date (not the kind of romantic situation where you want to be smugging in snacks) dinner and a movie is $100 per head if you eat somewhere half nice, that goes for a couple who have a night without the kids too and thats your primary market for these original films aimed at adults.

  • Oh I know, I had planned to take her to see the movie but one day when I picked her up from Daycare there was absolute traffic chaos, gps reckoned my 20 minute drive was going to take an hour and a half so I thought "Lets go to the movies, grab some dinner and wait for this all to blow over."

  • Because I couldnt be fucked googling the exact price of items at McDonalds but the Double Quarter pounder meal was $15.30, the Happy Meal was $5.95 and her soft serve cone was $0.50

So we spent about $78 at the movies. On two tickets, a large popcorn, a bag of chocolates and two drinks.

  • You can be wrong but still hold a valid point broadly.

If you say "franchises" instead of movies and limit it to movies where the woman is the STAR and not part of a duo (Terminator and Terminator 2) and goes for 3 or more movies the only other example I can think of off the top of my head is Alien.

Theres a lot of female starred standalone movies, and a decent number of duos, sometimes with sequels. But once you start looking beyond that it gets REALLY skinny really fast.

  • Just to throw this in. If you use this, check your voicemails.

I often have to call customers to check ambiguities in their orders and people just dont return calls. Our contracts clearly state that in the event that you cant be contacted we arent responsible for any errors.

  • Not just that they exist but that they are a fucking huge drain on society.

As much as Billionaires are a cancer and the world would be better without them, Jeff Bezos never smashed the window on my car to steal my speakers, he doesnt come out vandalising public transport or parks and he isnt the reason my wife doesnt feel safe walking around at night. Billionaires are the reason we dont get more nice things, these assholes are the reasons we cant keep the ones we have.

They also make any sort of socialistic change harder, because any time you try to help the "underprivileged" anyone who wants to oppose it can hold up one of these wastes of oxygen and use them as the spokesperson.

  • A small but notable percentage of low income, low education people are just fuckwits who make terrible decisions. They had access to opportunities, they could have overcome their circumstances with just a little effort but smoking cones and stealing shit was less effort so they did that and these people are a comparable drain on society as the uber rich.

    Can anyone identify these wheels?

17x7.5,, has a made in england stamping but no definitive stampings for pcd, offset or centerbore. Look like RS Cosworth wheels but arent. Has a retaining bolt hole for the flat bolt hole cover (which I'll post in another comment, which matches some 90s ford wheels) owner says they came off a Peugeot but my fellow french car enthusiasts say they definitely arent an OE Peugeot wheel.

Austin Powers was made approximately as long ago as Austin spent frozen.

If he was frozen at the very end of the 60s he spent 28 years frozen and was defrosted in 1997... which was 28 years ago this year.

Want to get a hint of what Austin went through being defrosted, go check out how poorly some of those jokes aged.

Whats an unethical or dangerous experiment that you would like to see performed or perform (if it werent for the ethics/danger)

For me "How long could I get away with driving like an ABSOLUTE ASSHOLE all the time before I lost my licence or had an accident." Speed limits, red lights, stop signs... forget them all. Every day I have to drive sensibly and obey the law because without my licence I dont have a job, and every day I see at least one person driving like an absolute moron and I wonder...

Intelligence agencies should start conducting black ops on Ransomware hackers and phone scammers.

They risk our infrastructure and they steal or extort billions. I wouldnt feel bad if I read "Scam phone center destroyed in mystery explosion"

Has anyone here been prescribed TRT? Or had a partner on it?

Got my bloods done and my Testosterone levels are LOW. I'm working out a lot and kind of pissed Ive been doing it on "hardmode" for god knows how long, but before I take the doc up on the script I'm doing my due diligence on the realities. It seems like every article I find is either written by a trt clinic or is a one sided hit piece. So Im after some real world experiences.

Dear Americans. Realistically what can a 5.0L fox body (pref manual) in pretty good shape cost these days?

I'm Australian and Fox Bodies arent super common here and are eligible for classic import status. Im not looking to do something soon but I'm also daydreaming about this pretty hard and I'm really curious about how viable the idea is.

Doesnt need to be a special edition, manual is strongly preferred but hardly essential if they command a big premium and I do like the later models with the 1 piece headlights. Liftback or notchback is fine either way.

Yes I've googled but that only really shows what people on BAT and clasifieds are ASKING not what they can realistically be had for if I started trying to buy one.

People who dont particularly care for or celebrate Christmas, Whats your favorite Christmas song?

I know the Mariah Carey song is hated because its overused, but its also objectively a well produced piece of pop music.

My favorite though is O Holy Night. Performed well I want to stop and listen to it. It moves me, and I dont give enough of a fuck about religion to call myself an athiest.

    Knock Knock. (Short story)

The managers offices have windows that look out onto the main floor, I'm a training officer and sometime supervisor so although I look in the windows before I go in I'm generally "read in" on anything going on so If the doors closed I dont pay it much mind unless the boss is having a closed door with a staff member.

I went to walk in the door and got it half open before the facility manager bodily slams it closed. He looks out the window and sees its me, and says "Learn to knock!" gives me some paperwork to chase up.

3 minutes later I come back with paperwork, he is sitting there back to the window... with his coffee. I made eye contact with the other supervisors and went full cheshire cat. I waited till he lifted his cup and I closed fist pounded on that door like I had a fucking warrant.

He came about 3 inches out of his chair and wore the whole cup.
