  • Patriarchy is not only cruel towards women, it's also dumb. It's like corruption. We're hurting ourselves, all of society, including men, by not giving the fitting positions and proper compensation and recognition to people who merit them.

  • There might be a reshuffle in geopolitics. Iran, Cuba, North Korea, and Venezuela, are traditionally allies of Russia and opponents of the US. Something will have to change, I believe.

We might see Armenia align with the US and aforementioned countries, if Turkey stays aligned with Europe. Which will likely be the case, I believe.

China is the wildcard here. I can see them align with either camp.

I think Australia won't have to choose. They might stay somewhat neutral.

  • I was so annoyed in 2012 when we were protesting the tuition fee hike in Québec that people were pointing to other provinces or the US for their higher tuition fees, instead of, like, North European countries, and many others, where it's free.

  • I think there are no absolutes here. Some women will wait for a long term partner, and a fraction of that group will have children by accident before finding one, and some other women don't wait for one (especially in a context where men don't abound), etc. What women do overall is the amalgation of millions of specific biographies concerning unique women.

Why does my body try to kill me when I'm sick?

I have a stomach flu. My government recommends me to eat as normally as possible.

    I've generally had no appetite.

And the idea of eating foods, even bland, often makes me feel nauseous.

And when I do eat, I often want to puke what I ate.

Why does my body do this if I'm supposed to fill my guts with food?

Ever bought a programmable robot for a child?

I'm hesitating between Vex Go and Lego Education Spike for my 7 years old son who's interested in robotics.

Vex has a good organization system which is a big plus, but Lego looks like it has more cool things you can do with it.

I wanted to compare what customers thought but I have trouble finding indormation so I'm turning to you. Anyone has had experience with these products or any other?

    Thank you

Do we have older metalheads here?

I was wondering if we have older metalheads here?

I've been educating myself on the history of metal, and that made me wonder if anyone here is much older than I am (early thirties here) and has seen some of that history.

How did you get into metal? How old were you?

Any interesting experience you'd like to share? Things that have changed?

How were metal and metalheads perceived where you lived?

How to find more of this black metal with dungeon synth melodies?

    Hey,

I'm generally more into melodeath, power metal, folk metal, and epic heavy metal. I sometimes listen to black metal, but I'm not a big fan of it. Unless it's blackened something (death, folk...)

But some black metal songs are something else for me.

Keys to the Astral Gates and Mystic Doors

This one has absolutely beautiful dungeon synth over the raw black metal, and I love it.

    Winter Lantern - Elven Blood

Listen to "Her Body Broken in the Bloody Snow".

This one also has excellent dungeon synth, together with black metal. Very good songs, their only flaw, which pisses me to no end, is the unnecessary effect on the vocals.

Now that I'm typing it out, I guess that what I'm looking for are bands that put emphasis on dungeon synth, but are still metal? But how do I look for more? Is there even a genre that I can search to find more
