Two Way Bridging and Integrating From Discord?

Hiya again!

I am just starting out a Discord community (less than 30 "members" including bots) cause that's where the Minetest Community generally lives at, it's mass marketing and so on.

But I am considering to kick it up and notch and look at bridging the two together as a sorta "federated" communication platform of our own.

So I would like to ask the Guilded community at large (particularly if you are/were a Discord user/admin). If we could be filled in with this.

Firstly is this comparable to Discord to begin with? For instance can I as a discord user and "server" admin pick up Guilded in a jiggy? And would you say it worth the efforts required to bridge over?

Additionally I vaguely heard that Discord bots are able to be used on the platform? Is that true at all? If there is truth to this is this a "1:1" compatibility? Or is recoding would be required and would renders any SaaS styled bots useless on Guilded? Mainly the reason I am concerned about this is I am concerned a

(Linux Mint) Automating Audio Input Preferences?

It's REALLY annoying that I gotta remember to switch from HDMI to Headphones. Is there a good "fix" to this that it will automate between the two?

All I want is if the headphone been plugged in through the 3.5mm jack is to use it otherwise default to HDMI.

Authenticator for Replacing Mobile Dependent 2FA for Who Who Might Needs it Or Otherwise Can't Affords Them (even a decent ethical used device can be $100 or more)

I was having difficulties 2FAing (namely Discord but others in the past) and I glad this exists for me be able to FINALLY 2FA enables it. :)

Aside from someone who can't see or otherwise operates a Smart device (Smartphone, tablet, etc) this is also made available to people who frankly can't afford one.

My Concern for Guilded and Similar Options

I just saw this because of @[email protected] news update and I thought to express why I have difficulties trusting these platforms (I am not singling out Guilded but it's was involved). That don't let you have it your ways.

It's boils down on uncertainty of the Terms and Conditions of these platforms and lack of providing clarifications on them.

In Guilded I was concerned if I were allowed to setup a community for an online business that I used to and I made it perfectly clear that I wanted to connect my clients and create a community FOR it. Instead of it being FOR the business itself..

But even months of no replies I am left unclear of what they "really" means of non commercial use of the platform really meant and if my use case would violate that section of the ToCs.

When You Actually Can't Run it Yourself Because of Lack of Accessibility to do so.

Ever since the Pterodactyl Game Panel software had changed theming in 1.x versioning I am left to the hands of 3rd party gaming providers to get things done. Which of course doesn't checks all of the boxes. :(

The issues? Lack of contrasts, or as I like to "call it" grey on top of grey!

Nobody can give me a feasible solution to either correct this or even to part ways to still be able to host a User Interface on my own server rental.

Mods' Additions and Adjustments for Accessibly Minded Minetest Gaming! Additional Information Availability and Gracefulness/"forgiving".

Hiya again everyone! I thought to share these updates which are intended to improve accessibility on my Minetest gaming server.

Firstly the main improvements is making in game information made more apparent and available in the form of Tooltips. Which explains damage, luminance and so on of blocks, items, tools and swords! You may also search right in game so you can easily track down say all lumiance bearing blocks/sources.

Additionally mods like Restart Gift and Stamina were adjusted to be more graceful and "forgiving". Restart Gift been adjusted to give you an hour over 5 minutes to rejoin for your "prize" in an event you get kicked from the server (crashes, shut down, etc). While Stamina was buffed so you don't lose so much just crafting and other previously "expensive" tasks.

Finally "First Hour" mod will as the name implies will not let you be attacked/attack others for the first hour (even against mobs). So you got time to prepare and set up shop!

  • Thank you very much for asking of me and caring to be of understanding of me. :) That is indeed correct, I am DeafBlind meaning as you guessed significant lack of vision as well as hearing. My biggest concerns are actually being able to be involved in finding people and possibly comes something of it. Which is why up until I created my deafblindminetestgaming.com site. I been having issues with this because I lost my most involved forum I was in to supar staffing of helping me with two concerning reports. As well as Discord giving me such pains with my account because it's being "comprised" regardless of the passwords I use. So I had to stop using it as their 2FA is a piece of trash ONLY allowing smartphones. Which doesn't works for me. :(

So yea a LOT had happened the first half of the year and still trying to "get back up to speed" to this very day.

  • That is indeed correct and thanks for asking of me! :) Indeed, I believe Linux USUALLY ships with customizations for their interfaces. On Linux Mint, I can change the themeing, color of folders, display settings and so forth. Add on top that Linux Mint ships with good accessibility settings (that's normally literally hundreds otherwise/user) it's a pretty significant thing to me.

The only thing that gets me that I have to restart the interface (Desktop Environment) every time I goes into Minetest full screen. Since i need to switch off the accessibility settings. Since the game already comes with MANY scaling options so I can still plays it provided it's also in full screen.

  • Hiya there! I am DeafBlind so windows' interfaces aren't the best for me. But you might get further help if you try searching that exact error. Which you should then be able to follow in the Windows' interface on how to fix it.

That how 95% of computer errors are resolved. So it should comes in handy. :)

Did Not Appreciate as DeafBlind gaming user, Biggest Pet Peeve is Lack of Transparency During the Youtube Partnership...

IN short I was trying to sign up my DeafBlind gaming channel on Youtube and they rejected it out of the blue. No emails, no notifications no nothing.

Furthermore you have to MANUALLY figure out this information of requiring 400 subs by hoping be able to FIND the absurdly located and not notated "learn more" information.

At the VERY least they couldn't notated a hyperlink saying "Minimum Requirements" or something to that effect and having easily "see able".
